So there is this profile that goes by the name cat20guy. All he does is dafame all new IIMs except Kashipur because Kashipur pays him a few bucks for being its loyal dog. He twists and turns details from IIMs' placement reports and presents it in a way that shows Kashipur to be the best among all new IIMs. LoL, waitlist movement says it all !! For most of the people who have seen all new IIMs placement reports, they can easily conclude that Kashipur is shit in Marketing, Sales,Banking & Finance and Consulting. It is really average for Operations and HR. It's decent for Analytics and General Management(although it ain't that good). So we can see Kashipur as being a flop show in all major streams of MBA. Kindly choose your college in the order that has been preferred by aspirants since years, which puts Kashipur at the last rank among new IIMs.
And yeah, now this cat20guy will come running trying to defend himself with some stupid manipulated excel reports and would name a few companies. I won't respond to him because I have already started preparing for CAT2020 since I was unable to get any decent new IIM this year. I got Kashipur(and some baby IIMs) and I have let go off the offer because I dont want to settle for a bang average college like IIM Kashipur.
I'm a BMS graduate speacialising in marketing. However due to personal reasons I'm thinking of shifting from marketing to finance during my MBA.
However Ive heard that companies recruiting for Fin in MBA usually look for candidates either with good acads/CA's or atleast someone with CFA lvl 1/2 cleared. Now my problem here is that my academics are not good (75 - 10th/66 - 12th/66 - Grads). And also I havent cleared any CFA levels. Hope you guys can shed some light on my perplexity
1) My acads not being good enough do you think I'll be that one odd person who will have extreme difficulty in placements in Finance. Or acads are not that of an important factor.
2) Im already having two years of experience in sales and marketing. Do you think this shift from marketing to Finance would create a problem in placements. 3) What job profiles do finance students get with average profile.
Ps. - If I end up deciding that I want to take up finance, I'll be doing some courses from udemy on finance so that knowledge gap isnt something that is pulling me back.
IIM Rohtak is such a big time scam!! Why did they took 2000 at the first place. Had to travel via air, took leave... spent more than 10000..and then for what? They should at least release waitlists!

12th- 95%
Graduation - 59% (2016-2019)
FRM completed
CFA level 2 completed

I know i have messed up with my graduation marks
But now i have to focus on what's ahead of me
I am targeting top 10-15 b schools .
So what are the college's that i have a chance to enter provided i score 97-99.5 in CAT exams , given my low score in graduation ?
Also i want to get into Investment Banking or equity research so will my graduation marks be a hindrance in the placement process.
Also will my CFA and FRM compensate for my low graduation scores in the placement process ?
It would be great if anyone can help me out with this .

Coz the course is same as Btech. Only the degree differs.
