and if we are making the payment at the collection centre

what cat/xat score does one average guy (not much impressive extra curriculars, average academics with 1-2 year IT exp) needs to get a call ..... please dont give any diplomatic answer.... A straight NO will be better than IT DEPENDS UPON YOUR PROFILE ... ABOVE 85% ALL ELIGIBLE... At least it will save some of my hard earned money...

Till what minimum percentile can I expect a call from SP JAIN with the following acads

X- 90.66 ICSE
XII- 86.6 CBSE
BTech- 65.52 UPTU
Avg extra curricular. Nothing extraordinary.
Didnt get a profile or score based call last year at 93.01.

I got an info that Operations and Information Management requires work, presently I am having 11 months of work ex and reaching may( when the classes might commence) it will be 17 months, so kindly tell me if I can apply for these profiles or just opt for Finance and Marketing (THAT require no work ex)?

@DeeBee1 Hi, I have a few concerns... first of all, i have been working in a telecom company for past 2+ years and my profile is purely technical... which specialization would be better : marketing/ops/information management ? since i don't have any work ex in IT, is there a chance in IM? Secondly, in the form we need to give details under versatility... what to fill in there? education plus co-curriculars or just co-curriculars ?

I have heard that the SP Jain gives a lot of preference to profile and the questions asked in the form like adversity faced in life and responsibility shouldered are crucial questions that and impact the call along with your percentile and other extra curricular activities. Is it true ? Also can you please suggest what kind of answers would maximize my chances of getting a call. I have a doubt in entering the graduation marks. My college awards marks in CGPA (semester-wise).


My 1st sem GPA is 9.28 and my 2nd sem GPA is 9.18.

I will be entering 9.28 in First Year->Semester 1 text box.

Should I enter 9.23 (CGPA as on 2nd sem) in the First Year->Semester 2 text box (Or) 9.18 (2nd sem GPA) ?

In the application, GMAT score, it is asked for IR score only for those who have given GMAT after June 2013. But it was there since June 2012 right? Just curious.

Hi,
I have completed my engineering and marking scheme for our college is that we are given GPA after every semester but the CGPA for each semester is calculated starting from third semester only. So for entering every sem marks should i write the gpa which i have scored or the cgpa which i have scored uptil that semester?

Do the essays which ask about adversity faced by us require us to just state our problems or can we also mention how those have impacted us, or how we've surmounted the situation?
The 50 word limit is quite a constraint!

A small doubt for profile information: in level drop down menu there is no option for college level,
if i have won something at college what level shud i fill school? or district? or national , considering it was a national level fest held at our college?
and one more thing does professional level means that we are expert in it and we are making money out of it or it simply means medium level as in ( between beginner and expert)?

@DeeBee1 I have completed 4 years of Bharat Natyam dancing and also have certificates for the same. I could not continue due to some reasons. Can I mention this in the versatility part of the form? Also I play the guitar as a hobby and am an ardent music follower. Can I mention this in the versatility part as well?

To what extent is the specialization in Information Management related to a Non CS/IT Guy. Is the course specifically designed for people with CS/IT background or Is it a General management kind of course?. Please clear this doubt.

@The.Red.Devil @DeeBee1 sir , i have done BE from nagpur university . my 1st year exam was conducted at the end of the year and from 2nd yr onwards it was a semester affair till final yr. this is the procedure that is followed in every college which comes under RTMNU . so how should i fill up the details in graduation marks' section .
because as i select semester pattern ; in 1st year column - 1st semester and 2nd semester box is coming and we students had appeared it as a yearly exam ! please guide sir
