[Official] [2014-2016] S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research [SPJIMR]: PGP Admission Discussion

@prashantgupta1

one more question for graduation while calculating final percentage my university consider weightage of each year (eg id 1st semester max marks are 1000 then while calculating final percentage of all the 4 years for first sem max marks will be 250) which one i should mention?

There must be a CGPA or a percentage for every semester, right?

I have completed a Certification, while working. Can I include it under the Professional Qualification tab?

If so.. then the Certification has no levels, and does not provide any rank. Only percentage is given.

So please suggest me how to go further, in completing this part of the Form.

heres my query..i have done civil engg and strtd wrking in a real estate company in dec last year..my deptt is project management and my role is project planning..basic job is to monitor the projct progress..so which specialisation in mba shud i opt for?? Secondly i want to know what is the difference between the personal adversities and related to family as most of the times adversities faced by us are related to our family only?? if you cud explain this citing some examples!! thanx!! :):)

You should be selecting operations (going by the profile mentioned). But please keep in mind that you should factor in career interests.

Yes, the adversities may overlap slightly. In this case choose the best fit.

I have already submitted my form, is there a way I can change the preference for specialization??

@The.Red.Devil
@The.Red.Devil In the block "Any other important certification/program" , can you provide some examples.Like i did a course from Prometric (2 months),does that count?
Thanks :)

guys..i have filled year of passing 12th as "2009" but below that option in the "graduation" section the "first year" starts at 2008-09 and continues till fifth year...i have passed out electrical engineering this year i.e. 2013...and mine was a 4 year course only...so can you help me out where to fill my semester marks...and what should i write in the "gaps"??? (i have completed my b.tech this year and currently isn't working anywhere)

Do I have to apply through the admission link on the website itself for profile based selection? Additionally, this is where I need your help:

I have 10th=90% CBSE
12th=75% CBSE
Engg.=55% M.U.

I have National State and Cluster level Cricket certificates, additionally Tinkle Quiz Certificates, State Debate Certificates.

I was also the member of the Core Committee of Student Union in my college (R.A.I.T).

I have around 16 months of work experience, And have been employed in J.P. Morgan for the last 10 months, How much of a chance do i have if I manage the minimum percentile for getting through?

hey, the 2008-2009 mentioned there is just for reference. You need to input your years there in the box provided. Let me know if you have any trouble.

@The.Red.Devil

Yes, you may change before 18th November. Unlock the form and make the required change.

@The.Red.Devil

Fill it as CGPA till that particular semester.

So it isn't the individual semester wise sgpa right? We need to mention our cgpa till that semester? Kind of confused!

CGPA till the semester, not for the semester.

You can put down same responsibilities as well , no worries with that.

@M0nK SPJIMR considers several factors such as academics, work experience, relevance of work ex, CAT, versatility and other profile information. CAT/XAT cutoff is 85%.
