hi, i have a query regarding educational loan for MBA. I have got admission for the PGDM course at IIM Ranchi, Normally i would have approached banks like SBI CBI etc but the problem is that I had already taken a loan at Punjab national bank for my B.tech. I went to PNB to inform that I would not be able to pay my loan EMIs for the next 2 years as I would be studying. But they are telling me that I wont be able to take another educational loan from another bank as i have a loan with them right now. They offer loan upto 10 lakh only at ROI 11% which i feel is much hgher when compared to SBI (10.1%) CBI (10.25%) and these banks offer loans upto 20 lakhs without any collateral. The people at PNB said that the only option I have is to close the educational loan I had taken with them in order to approach other banks or I will have to continue my loan with PNB itself at a higher rate and lesser amount. now is there a way around this? anybody facing a similar situation? I definitely cant pay back the previous loan completely right now. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance....
