Hi everyone, My father is a E4 executive officer in govt PSU (CIL). Earning more than 8 lakhs. Though he was recruited as non- executive, worked in lower non excutive level for around 20yrs and promoted to excutive position after clearing departmental exam (without any reservation or so).When he was promoted he had crossed 40 yrs of age .As per govt ruling all executive officers will be considered as creamy layer therefore not eligible for reservation .Also as per the rule in central or state govt posts ,daughter or son of a husband (only male) who was recruited in B grad or lower grad and promoted to A grade at the age of 40 or more than that shall be considered as Non creamy layer .The law is silent for similar condition in PSU however it mentions that provisions applicable in govt and state posts will be mutatis mutandis (as similar as) applicable in case of PSUs too. Now my questions are - 1) Will I be Fall in non creamy layer? 2) How to prove this to IIM authorities ?(because if they ask for my fathers ITR obviously it will show more than 8 lakhs ) 3)My case is bit peculiar ,therefore how to make sure that I am moving in right step with respect to documentation to avoid further controversies ( because once I will fill form in OBC it will land me in trouble if any future controversies arises) Please help me ASAP .Any suggestion or help with legal case reference will be a great help. So I had sent the NC-OBC certificate available on the CAT website to my father and had asked him to get it signed from the authorities. But the authorities refused to do that and instead they gave him an NC-OBC certificate in this (see the attached picture) format. The wording of the two formats is same. One more issue is that they did not write our last name, just the first names.
Can I upload this one? Has someone uploaded a certificate in this format before? Or will there be a problem later?
Also, what to put in the "Serial/Entry/Certificate Number" in the CAT form?

For considering my situation under OBC NCL law is not much clear and can have various interpretations.However before filling form i want to make sure that i am going in line with IIMs stand in this regard.Please help me with following questions.
1)How can i know that candidates with similar conditions as of mine has been admitted by IIMs earlier.
2)How to contact IIM authorities( if you have any specific email where admission querry can be resloved ,please share)
If we have to submit obc document issued by state or centre then why is this certificate format provided everywhere ? Which doc we have to ultimately submit ?

I have an OBC (NCL) certificate which I had made for my undergraduate admission. I have since been working and my income is >5 LPA.
Does that disqualify me as NCL? Or can I use my OBC certificate for CAT as well (given that I will have to quit my job to join a B-school)?
In undertaking form it is written that we have to attach old caste certificate also but I dont have my old caste certificate as I had lost it what Should i do now

I have a SBC caste certificate with Non Creamy Layer (NCL). While filling up the CAT form it is written in Note that self attested scan copy of the certificate should be uploaded.. so does that mean that I have to take a colour print of the original certificate and then do my signature at the bottom of the print out certificate and scan the colour print and upload it as pdf? Do I also need to consolidate my NCL certificate with caste and then upload.

Is it required to attach income proof with OBC NC certificate to get it attested?
I live in dehradun but my home town in in Kota(Rajasthan), and all my docs have Kota address, except Passport, in passport I have dehradun address, so my query is: Do I have to make my OBC certificate from Kota, or Can I make in dehradun?
The underatking form asks for application number, but I don't have it right now. I think it will be generated after submittiing the application. I just have user ID for logging into application form right now. Please suggest what should I fill in there.
