Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur congratulates its 4th batch for completing 100% placements for Summer Internships. The 2018-2020 batch has a total strength of 93 students who have shown great discipline and dedication in making a mark in the industry.
During this placement season, the institute hosted more than 50 companies including many first time recruiters. Our prominent recruiters were P&G Health, Ericsson, Ernst&Young, Aditya Birla Group, Hindalco, AGS, HDFC Bank, BRPL, ITC, Airtel, BPCL, ToneTag among many other companies. The students were offered highly coveted roles across various domains such as BFSI, Sales, Marketing, Market Research, Business Development, Consulting, Operations, and HR.
The average stipend of the batch stood at Rs. 59,789 with the highest being Rs. 1,68,000. The average of the top quartile of the batch is Rs. 1,07,413 while the top 50% of the batch secured an average stipend of Rs. 83,567.

I am Udit.
I qualified GATE(CSE) 2019 with marks greater than general category cutoff but the problem is while filling the examination form, I have opted for OBC category but recently on 28th March 2019, I renewed my OBC caste certificate and got to know that I am coming under creamy layer.
Also, I clearly remembered while filling the form it was mentioned(in rules) that only OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) is eligible for getting the benefit and If you are coming under OBC(Creamy Layer), then fill the form as a General category.
Now, I am worried if my application is still valid because as of now I am coming under Creamy Layer and as per norms I should have filled the form as a General category but I have filled the form as an OBC category.
Would anyone please tell me if my application is still valid or will I be treated as General category as I can't issue OBC-NCL certificate during document verification?
I tried to contact IIT-Madras(mail + call) but no one is answering.
