I'm actually an MTech aspirant and will be applying under the OBC category for admissions.I have some doubts regarding the "OBC NCL" certificate that's been prescribed for Central Educational Institutions-IITs,NITs..
Iam from Bangalore and the local Tehsildar's office plainly refused to sign the OBC-NCL certificate that I produced to them,saying that they have their own format that's provided by the Karnataka state.I have therefore applied for "Caste and Income Certificate",but have no idea if it is of the same format as required by the said institutes.I could also get a separate NCL certificate.
But,will these documents be accepted?

And in case these certificates will not be accepted,who should I approach to get the prescribed "OBC-NCL" certificate?They mention SDMs,SDOs etc.,but I dont know where their offices are and the procedure to follow..
Could someone answer my query,maybe someone from bangalore ..

Hi guys I am a NC-OBC candidate and got a call from new IIM's . In the call letter my category is correctly mentioned but while filling the interview form I made a mistake and filled the category as SC(there was a drop down option) and submitted this form during the interview (on 7th March 2014). So will ter b any issue for my selection ? Guys plzz help !!😟
Any aspirant from Kolkata who has got his OBC certificate signed from the District Welfare officer Kolkata. The IIM A staff during the interview said such a certificate won't be accepted as it is not signed by the signatory mentioned in Page 2 of the form. However in Kolkata all certificates are signed by the District Welfare Officer. Seniors, Please Help.

i had calls from IIM indore and Kashipur
IIM Indore WAT went poor i would say i completed but thought process was not good but interview went good.
in IIM kashipur WAT and PI my performance was above average
now i need a serious advice of someone that should i expect a convert or start preparing for CAT-14
