planning to take GMAT sometime in April...
Thanks for the Idiom list ...
le me give my experience on GMAT
initially u have to select 5 schools b4 the test starts. yes without the score in hand!! then only the test will start.
firstly thr wud be AWA.
for this my take go thru AWA example in OG11. It has got 2 samples and 3 types of answers for each. also it is given why this responser essay will fetch a score 6 similarly for 4 and 2 also given. After going thru this i formed a template for myself and followed and landed up with a decent score of 5.0/6.0 .
then qa will start--- in qa maximum questions asked was from Number System. like prime number properties. divisibility. HCF, LCM etc. a few questions each from Time Speed Distance, Percentages, Averages. so these topics are a must.
then va-- started off slowly and well. but lost time coz of speed. and had to hurry and messed up this section.:sad::sad:
I am poor at english. working on it first.
Refreshing basics of english grammar (parts of speech) and maths ( tables / formula ) in parallel.
Following a CAT maths book (N K Sinha).
Any help in engish wud be appreciated!
I do want to know more about AWA and time alloted to them.
Help me please
AWA comes first when the test starts
2 essays of 30mins each 1) Analysis of argument
2) Analysis of an issue
in the same order without any break.
wat is expected. u btr go thru OG11.
there is a sample essay for each type of essay and 3 responses
one with score 6, one with score 4, one with score 2
and explanation also given why so n so response for so n so essay is 6 or 4 or 2.
so reading that will give u an idea what exactly do they expect in an essay.
hope this answers ur query on AWA
I am done with CATs that come along with kaplan gmat premier.
Any other GMAT CAT available online? Need to practice DS more.
