Puys if we book the seat with the 5 lakh odd money(as if it is easy to get within a week ) will it be refunded incase we cancell our application?
@didroo Its aprox 6.6 lakh dis time and as far as i have heard only rs.1000 will be deducted , rest shall be given back ! Do confirm though :)

6.06 Lakhs are needed to book your seat within 10 days of gettign a convert. Otherwise our seat is lost.. But don worry people manage it every year :)

met up with a 2011-13 batch guy from NMIMS. got some insider info. All things are according to whatever he said
. 1. about the new campus, I asked him that will they actually shift us to the new campus this year. He said they said us the same 2yrs back. so dont trust them. the campus will take another yr or two to get ready. What they can do at max is to complete 2-3 floors by this yr end and shift the new batch by next yr beginning to half completed campus.
2. avg placements inflated by 2-3 lakhs if not more. Marketing guys making around 13 lakhs , Finance guys making 9lakhs mostly (mode) others around 8-9 lakhs.
3. Asked bout faculties, so he said 3-4 faculties mostly in finance dept are very gud, else not so gud.
4. living expenses in mumbai. he said varies from individual to individual but you should keep a budget of 15,000 a mnth.
5. Positives of Nmims -
a. Mithibai college and Law college, there are lot of things(people) to focus on. life is bindass. (the guy paused for 2min :P)
b. Industry interaction is good, people from industry keep visiting the college regularly.
6. He said only worth joining if you conert core. P.S. all the above info is what I was told by this guy, no additions frm my side. After this interaction I'm not joining NMIMS if its a direct convert, will only join in case I dnt convert any other college and Im still in the waitlist.

@intelligio1 Bhai if you do get a straight call, you will have to book your seat in 10 days time. If not, no more waitlisting business. I think you will forgo your call.
Also, to add to the above points, did he mention anything about sports and other recreational facilities? I noticed one thing when we were called to Mithibhai, there's not a lot of space there to do any outside class activities (inc studying!). I always had this opinion that during an MBA we will have to spend days and nights doing assignments and group activities. Will NM campus give us that environment to facilitate our learning? I have seen the library, but apart from that. Seniors please provide your opinions.

@krisharjun07 friend wat i understood from his opinion was that peoples focus change from sports to some diff things. u knw whn u av so many (gorgeous) people around to priorties change. there are people who just focus on study and generally its all upto the individual to make it big. not a residential college so expecting the rigourous pressure of case studies and assignments and late nyt lectures will be expecting too much frnd. not upto the mark in terms of peer group studies.
