well ite better that we start a new thread of gd/pi experience rather than putting these exp on the queries thread

i had my gd/pi today

gd was: are marks the only thg in life

we had to speak for 1 min each then gd and then haf min in end for conclusion

i spoke some very gud points and lots of content. infact wenevr i spoke everyone was quiet. as soon as i finished, fish market ensued.had a nice conclusion as well and all my entries were rsgistered.

then came the pi

well they were grilling everyone on acads especially if ur comp sci and elec engg

q1 tell me abt urself
me blah blah blah

q2 u had a year drop

me blah blah blah

q3 in ur sop u ve written that nirma has excelent infra, tell me more how do u know that

me sir im a regular member of pagalguy there we have nirma seniors helping everyone and one of them had some pics updated on his blog and i saw it.

q4 ok describe those pics

me dunno. then asked bout errorn flow control. told everythg bout CRC, checksum. lrc etc etc. seemed happy

they were very happy then asked about edo ram
i said i dunno edo ram but i know ddr and sd ram. then they said ok tell me that

gave entire theory of ddr and sdr ram


they were very happy

then they asked me my specialisation and dream cmpny

told them i wana do hr and ernst n young came to nirma this yr so thass my dream cmpny

then they said HOW CUM U KNOW SO MUCH ABT NIRMA?

i answered PAGALGUY

THEY were smiling.

then asked my philosophy and whether i had joined any insti for cat preparation

then asked if i know any teacher in nirma who has written any articles. i told them abt srinivas rao and mr bahl

they were like very happy. they said very gud u know a lot


all in all a very gud gd and excellent interview.

yups man, i guess u have fair chances to convert nirma's call. . u did gr8 job.afterall malli sir ke samne sabhi nahi to nahi tik pate 😃 !
i think p.g. wud now get popular among all b-schools.. i remember during my PI, i gave reference of PG n my senior hrishi who was mentorin us on pg thread.they were happy to know that people keep good info about the colleges that they applied to n developin good contacts across various b-school thru forums like PG.

n u know wat... he is eco-wizard.a senior faculty for eco.i dint know about his comp-sci domain knowledge :wow: . n wat about other members.how do u know them by there names? wat was the overall experience of ur gd-batch?how was PI experience of other guys?

now i saw in the prospectus and recognised everyone of them.

infact i know who all faculty were present here in delhi today.


in my grp all were asked acads as all were freshers

some cudnt answer and were grilled further

and then there were people like me who answered all


in my gd batch i gave lots of content and they even asked me bout my GD performance in interview. i guess oerall today was very satisfying.

Prof. Mallikarjun never fails to surprise...from ARIMA to Flip Flops...amazing wait till u guys attend his classes...and the other two...Dr. Chinmoy Sahu and Mr. Ajit Desai are legends in them selves...Prof Sahu made accounting so easy for us engineers...n Mr. Desai...He was at SP Jain before this...He can walk into any company in india n take my word he would either know the VP or the CEO personally there...Wat say nNiky?

we were in the same position tht u r in and thts y just wanna help u guys out
were r all equal re, diff. being we made it in one year earlier. than u guys wud.

but u guys might have to call us sirs for atleast 3 weeks when u join in ---- raging

lookin forward to seeing u guys here.

@cool... hey dude i think you were in my group.. you started the gd ryte( 3pm slot)....

was the guy with the short spiky hair...in the blue shirt

now..as far as my gd/pi were concrned they werent much diff from cools

except for 5 questions

1. introcduce yourself

2. why should we select you

3> do you agree with the gd topic

4>why are your marks less

5>hobbies and related questions

rest was acads focussed....

m in kind of a hurry now, if you guys want details juss holler..

hi , had my nirma interview in iim-b on the 20th at 9:30 . since a couple of candidates were a bit late , they started off with the interviews first . it went off pretty well for most people . then we were called in for our gd , topic was globalisation in the long run is bad for india . everyone was in favour of globalisation so the the gd was quite civilized and didnt get out of hand . anyone else from my same group in here ?

could any of the nirma seniors help me out here , we had to bring an essay on why i want to do a MBA when we came for the interview . mine was the only one that was read ( i checked with the others , theirs were all collected during their interviews) but mine was returned to me . whatsupwiththat ?

good acads and hardworkin (padhakhu types).addint to ur confusion........ i was not asked a single acad Q during my PI last yr . i think u need not worry too much. afterall luck plays mejor role in such phases.so relax n face the gd/pi with +ve spirit. N NJOY IT

gd topic was quite easy

i believe my gd was cool
pi lasted only 10 minutes
no acads were asked
even being a fresher
why marketing
why advertisin
tell me abt the fav ad

why shift in field
it was ok
rest is in the hands of khuda
