i am a engg graduate from chennai. To join TCS shortly( Hope so). I am just into the MBA abroad world. Completly naive about universities abroad be it US, UK, SINGAPORE or anywhere. It would be helpful if somebody throw light on some top universities and popular info & perceptions regarding them. I have been through some threads, but couldn't grasp much as most of them have taken for granted , some pre-exposure.
So Please share whatever u know.

Hi all,

most of you would have done a great deal of research on MBA schools abroad this year. i have also done some research but not satisfactory due to time constraints and have got thru Rotman and Ivey b-schools (Canada) too. but i won't be able to go this year due to lack of funding options available to me.

can you people please share with me info on MBA in Finance? i am basically looking for post-MBA finance job scene and world rankings of b-schools in finance.

Thank u for the reply. But would have been happy, had u shared things i wanted. See here, one can get every thing i asked for from google. But it involves a great deal of research and consumes time. i created this thread so that it will serve as a single stop for all those just entering into the MBA world. You can contribute things u know and benefit the aspirants. All it takes is a little time and coutesy.

And u konax, roll out the details of the Rotman school. Dont deviate the thread. U can start a new thread on MBA finance job scene.

I expected atleast a single related reply. You need not type in all that u know abt all the universities. Just take up one institute and divulge some important and may be well known facts abt them. Ur participation will be of immense use for all the aspirants who have just begun their search like me.

I am not really sure how to put it ..But here goes...I guess the first person who can help you is yourself...If you cant take the time out to do some pretty basic searching and googling, do not expect others to do that for you.....

Check out the reviews/rankings by FT/BW/Others....Read up mba blogs...read all the threads in this forum....Check out BW forums/gmat club ...etc etc...These are some pretty basic stuff that you need to help yourself with !!

In singapore... Nanyang and NUS is best.

UK - LSB, Birmingham is good.

NZ - Victoria is Best.

AUS- Melborn and UTS is good.

Singapore has INSEAD and Exec MBA of Chicago GSB. Great, great schools.

UK has Oxford (Said), Cambridge (Judge), Manchester Business School, Cranfield, Warwick. Good schools

MBA from India will be much better option for u..because it contains the exact term of the getting the same degree with a lot of expenses from foreign countries whereas in India, the top universities are just giving the same degree with much more better placement with gud high salary packages...the name of that top colleges are named as-

1.IIMs  

2.SYMBIOSIS 

3 Lovely Professional University Jalandhar,Punjab

4 Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai,
