In Mumbai, you can get a TI BA II Professional Calci at a Price range of Rs. 2200 - 2600.

whereas the TI BA Plus costs around Rs.1600 - 1800

These are available at select stores in Mumbai.

Am interested in doing CFA from cfai, am a fresher, but is a post graduate.
I was going through the website of CFAi to get to know the eligibilty; found the phrase mentioned below :

'have four years of qualified, professional work experience or a combination of work and college experience that totals at least four years '

can NE1 explain this,
does it require 4 yrs of work ex?
if not a total of 4 yrs considering grad +work ex ?

now my grad course was for 3 yrs+ i did a post grad of 2 yrs, but dont have any work ex.

Now with such a background, am I eligible ??????
will fnnce/CFA gurus plzz enlighten me on this ?

4 yrs of professional work ex is a requirement to earn the CFA charter and is not a pre-requisite for taking the exams as such. You are eligible to sit for CFA exams as you have finsihed your graduation. You will be awarded the charter once you clear all the three levels AND gather 4 yrs of relevant work ex.

I tried getting it in Hyd at many places only to find the whole effort useless. Looks like the 'Go for CFA' wave hasn't yet made it to hyd. I have already posted the link to soft copy of the same (page 136, post 135. I had to get the Schweser 2007 L1 material printed to get a hard copy. After starting to read the curriculum, I gave up looking for 2008 Schweser hard copy.

Getting print out would still have been quite troublesome and may even be a bit costlier. Order the xerox notes directly from 'Laxmi Xerox, Mumbai' - they will deliver it at your door step in any city at an additional charge of 400 Rs. .. depends on what seems more comfortable to you...

I have started preparing for L1 CFA in Dec 2008, i would like to know what is the job prospectus after completing L1, i heard that even after completing L1 one gets a good jobs into IB KPO's and salary reange is between 40-50k.....

Also I would like to know that if any one is giving L1 in Dec 2008, so we can form a study group....

Yes you can pass the Level 2 exam if you start now.In fact this is the ideal time as you will not face any burnout issues ,I had begun my preps around that time only.
Take care of the Accounting part though it is reckoned as one of the toughest parts in the entire CFA curriculum and has a very high weightage in the L2 exam.

One of my prime concern is, after clearing L1 do you get job, if yes what is the salary range for the job??

Because i am from Software industry and would like to enter finance industry directly after L1...so i would like to know what is the job prospectus after L1...
