Hi

Can anyone give a little bit more info on Bangkok as a test center. What is the exact place (test center) and where can you stay in Bangkok?

The cost mentioned 10-12K is on a shared basis or you can stay alone for the same amount.

Also is it easy to get the test center?

People who have been to Bangkok earlier for CFA exams, your inputs would be highly appreciated.

Are you taking L1? Count me in for accomodation. Also have you booked your tickets. Let me know about some good deals, if you already have. If you havent lets book it together to cut down on the cost.

Would you recommend Scheweser Material for Preperation, as it is concise and not very elaborate.

I havent recieved my material for L1 Yet, but my experience with FRM Schweser material has been good.

i am in my final yr engineering and would be completing it in another 2 months.
after my engineering i would like to do a CFA.
i want to know from where are you guys/gals doing your CFA.
are you doing it from outside or from india itself.
also tell me wether CFA is a residential programme or one can do it side by side with job.
also tell me what's the procedure to enroll for it and when can one enroll for it and from which institute.
also seniors it will be of gr8 help if someone can give the link for the CFA website from where you guys/gals are doing your CFA.

also it would be of immense help if you can PM me with all the details.

No man, I haven't booked the tickets yet, but there is one offer for tickets - 13K return airfare including taxes. I'm also thinking of visting Thailand- Bangkok and Pattaya and it's a great place. Would you be interested? Getting two people will cut our expenditures except the tickets to half - and since we're going there it's worth the visit.

CFA is not a residential Program. Its a certification by AIMR and you can take it from anywhere in the world.

frnz i have enrolled for CFA level I on 15th.. I am currently in states for a year so i thot it wud be beetre if i give it this time..Can you plz tell me how can i get online books for it here .. i guess i i wud have been in india it wud have been much easier.. What all material is there in the CD? Is there any link online where I can find those videos

I took level 1 last year and i personally feel that the videos dont add that much of a value to the prep.
They were online till sometime back but now the links dont seem to be working.
Will try to find new links to the same and will post it asap

My frnd took L2 in Singapore last june... acc to him there's only one centre - Singapore Expo - which is quite close to airport - see the map below
