i wish to do CFA, is it worth doing from ICFAI or should i do it from CFA Institute... i m concern about the global acceptance of CFA offered by ICFAI

guys have you been solving question bank pro questionS? What has been you accuracy rate? my overall accuracy is 80%, I've tried around 500 questions until now. Is it good or are the questions too easy to be scoring just 80%?:w00t:

: to cfa,i would advise u go for cfa international.....
cfa frm icfai in nt accepted globally......if u r cfa frm icfai u have to give some papers of subjects left out in icfai cfa course,then may be you will become a cfa which is globally accpted.this was told to me by the councilors of cfa icfai so i am nt cent percent sure about the accptance of the cfa icfai even after giving the left out course exams.......so better to jst
give your best shot in cfa internationla........

group study is the best way to crack CFA. Also its the high time to start studying seriously. Because competition is increasing and even ppl from B-school are not able to clear the cut off marks, hence fail.
However, it happens that all the ppl is the group dont know the correct way of doing a matter or dont understand a new concept properly. Here you need someone expert.
About me ,..........I have taught CFA L1 candidates 2008(5 students)...same private classes. However there were two extremely good candidates who were interested in taking classes for half of the session and I give them that as well). SO, I offer customised and convenient classes.
I m CFA charterholder with 6 yrs of industry experience and at present only associated as visiting faculty for FM with SPJCM. feel free to write in for any guidance
From whichever material you read, I think Ethics can be left to be done thoroughly in last 30 days when you are taking mock exams for other topics. You can start with Quantitative Methods the second topic... it is pretty straightforward....... Being from non-finance background I found that FSA is the biggest hurdle... I started with that to get that thing out of the way in the prep.... You can do anyways... But Ethics you need to read around 3 times and you should be through..... But dont ignore Ethics.. It is must to do well in this topic also.....
I just cleared Level 2 in June....
hey insane genius , just read the thread u wrote some tim eback on cfa, im already an mba (finance) , is it worthwhile to do a CFA or is it better to go for CA, i dont want to waste more years n want a course that i can do while working , which is one is better ?
look to other courses around...

If you want to be in research and analysis CFA makes sense............else MBA finance is sufficient.......
what & y do you want to do a correspondance professional course...answer to this question will guide you to the right course.......also if you satisfied with your existing serviceline do a course that add value to your work.....

Dont just stick with CFA only(its tought n trying).........if you are good at making client.....y not join CFP as well.....its monetory rewarding.....
I dont know about your aspirations and skillset so cant give much thought on what other course can suit your requirement.

You can also pay by demand draft drawn in favour of CFA institute......the details are montioned on registration page......
YIts not essential that the credit card has to be in your name.you can use any of your kin n kiths card as well.
hey im in my final year of engineering ... jus got placed in deloitte .. planning on working for two years n simultaneously completing cfa ... n probably gonna try to do an mba in d us after that ... any suggestions???
MBA from top Institutes in world can lend you very good career start.....
Good that you joined an MNC organisation....and yes CFA is generally done along with job.....with dedication you can complete CFA in two years......stalla is best for non-commerce background people........ atleast for L1 ,I m cent per cent sure........
Try to visualise a career direction for yourself giving consideration to your skillset(this doesnot happen in an hour!!!)...know yourself!!!! while working you will get to know your strengths n weaknesses......based on that think of suitable position in organisation for yourself........
Moreover,skills can be build!!!!!!

I also, like guiding/teaching CFA candidates who are not interested in joinign full time coaching center. recently I have got an opportunity to be a part of SPJCM as astt faculty.

I have recently taken admission in CFA course from ICFAI Tripura. I have gone through many blogs regarding the CFA course. I am little confused, as many have the opinion that this course is good for enhancing the skills of working executives. I am a fresher. Can anybody suggest me as how good it would be for me in getting job? I have done MA in Economics.
