Depositing the fees .. but will withdraw if I get thru IITs/NITIE etc

This is nothing but too big a blunder,
I was intervied on the 17th of feburary.... at delhi...now when i check my results it insanely says" INVAILD data"
Can someone help me in this regard.

u have about a 100 % chance to get it. As first of all many guys wont come, and second of all, many of those coming will deposit the fees as a backup only. So enjoy n dont worry....

Hey guys..

Here is some info i got from last year's thread...

Last year hostel fees were Rs.45000 excluding boarding, amenties , services. This yr its 65,000.:neutral:
Last year hostel was under rennovation. Don't know abt its status now.

"SBI's requirements are very minimal, proof of residence, proof of identity, admission letter, schedule of fees (NM will give you this if you ask nicely). I think they'll want you to show up in person with all this and do keep in mind that processing time of 3-4 days has to be accounted for. (Their requirements for edu. loans in general are much more stringent but they make an exception for some of the better colleges around and NM is one of them).

Dena Bank is a more cumbersome process, they need all sorts of things including income proofs and lots more of candidate and his parents etc."

first of all congrats to all those who made into nmims

reg last year the last rank was ard 360-380

this year am nt sure some of the puys anticipate it to b ard 400. am nt sure

but i feel people with rank ard 350 is safe( personal opinion)

now reg mgmt seats
last year ranks with 1500+ gt in ( i wil confirm this in 2 days time)
u will have to pay ard 10laks for 2 yrs as tuition fee but no differentiation when it comes to placements. In fact i dnt know in my class who all r frm merit seat and who all frm mgmt seat.

but since it is a huge amt its ur personnel take

reg loan

last year we gt loan frm sbi JUHU branch for 8.5% interest. i think u wil b gettin best deals there. as they hv some tie up with nm

reg laptop
no need to pay up if u have one

last year intially it was told to us tat laptop wil cost 65k
but we gt it for 41500 (ibm thinkpad) as the laptop were bought in bulk.

reg hostel
gals hostel is amazingly porsch

boys hostel
plz confirm it whether u r accomdated in gr jani hostel for boys (ie where we r residing)

in this hostel there wil b 4 in a room. will have 2 cupboards and a studyin desk alongside
u get hot and cold water 24 X 7. its a decent accomodation

or else u can opt for accomodation outside as u can share flats.

u can get the loan frm sbi delhi but u wil have to pay an interest of 9.25% as against 8.75% in the juhu branch.

Thanks for the info. Since my alloted date is 20th March, any idea when I should be completing loan formalities. And what about the laptop? Can I purchase one with my own configuration now or should I wait for the NM to provide one (Will it be cheaper?) Also any alternative acc. available for NM besides hostel(PG, Flat etc?)

puys i have a few queries:-

1. what all options do we have regarding bank loans ....which ones r the best...i read that sbi juhu...but wont i have 2 come 2 mumbai 3-4 days b4 for that...or can i apply sitting in delhi for the juhu branch?
2. how are the hostel's like?? since u said something abt a particular hostel....r there more than one for guys??
3. how is the intrest calculated n when do we start paying back......also is there a cap coz. i enquired that most banks give loan upto 4 lac without fuss but beyond that its tough??
4. do we need to b physically present 2 enroll. or can we send someone or may be send things through courier??
