I am one of the many of us who plan a lot. I love planning. But the fun part ends right there. The master planner inside me feels a little scared when it comes to see what i really did.

Reality says that f*$k u , what matters is what u do and how u do it. not whatever is going on in your head.
Planning, let me clarify is just a tool to improve productivity. Its ultimate aim is to ensure that u do more.

Ok, so here is the deal ...I myself am preparing for CAT12 and ek chota sa idea aaya..am trying it out here.

I say that we publicly proclaim the "plan" that we have made for the week.. I put in how much am I going to do, take whatever inspiration and go about doing it..
Now, come back after the week and post what all u actually ended up doing during the week.

slowly, we will know in reality where we stand and how much we need to do.
See how others are doing and what u can do to beat them.pls don't say that i compete with myself only and other such Robin Sharma self help shit.. CAT to ultimately game hi hai na boss...and to tell u the truth if my friend studies more than me i will not sleep the whole night but try to beat him.. healthy competition kehte hai isko..

What say guys??

Regards
Manmeet

PS: going back and editing ur plan wont help u
PPS: any suggestions and improvements are welcome yaar

yaa..CAT is all about emerging out of the competetion with true colours..
yes u can study around 8-10 hours daily but sleep is necessary as it reenergies the body..

I plan to finish indices and logarith chapter around 60 questions.

Guys I believe that we should finish both pdf's

it will help us in

RC + SC = 9-12 question :)

P.S: upload nahi ho rahi ...:(

Sahi baat hain... TIME main koi basics nahi hain... Bas practice questions hain...
Basics main usually net pe heen dekh leta hoon... Need to know basis.:sneaky: By the way kuch rules hain jispe agreement heen nahi milta (na teachers se na website se na authorities se). Aise main bas ek pakad lo aur follow karte raho. :)
Example:

Have you read the new Chetan Bhagat's book?
or Have you read the new book by Chetan Bhagat.
I have seen the first usage in The Hindu and some sites suggest it is accepted.
But most(me included) would suggest that first usage is wrong as it means the book that belongs to Chetan Bhagat not one written by him.

Hi puys !
mera schedule for the weekend:
Finish 200 geometry questions.
10 RCs.
30 PJs.
Analysis of CL mock.
learn 100 new words.

Hey!
Could you clarify where exactly do you face trouble in VA/LR?
Like, Say. I dont possess great Quant Skills. Got a mere 28 the last time.
But its majorily because i practise less of Quant.
I would suggest you to read some rules. And take a quick test to understand the implementation of those rules.
Hope this helps!
:)

I have both of them. I feel Arun Sharma is more organised and explanative.

Any suggestions for LR/DI other than TIME material?

Well its a good thread, but I think it must be more of a strategy based thread rather than plan. I feel targets should be defined for at least a week because only then we can cover something significant and more importantly a week's study can be organized in a better way. What I decided earlier this week was not the week's plan but it was the whole CAT prep. strategy

Even I spend a lot of time planning rather than putting effort :biggrin: but after 15 days of observation and after wasting inordinate amount of time on planning I came up with the above plan and though its a bit tough but its working fine for me. I've been following it for the past 6 days and now my CAT prep is on track

What we can also discuss here is like which resource should be done in what way.. for ex. for Reading Comprehension, RC99 looks best to me. I believe many of the puys are confused about DI/LR section like I am, because there is no structured material available for this section. All the veterans suggest doing mocks, but I want to do the basic problems first and then use the mocks to improve my speed and accuracy. So any suggestions in this regard other than TIME material?

IMS material is quite good for LR & DI. Arun Sharma is also good.
