With 680 as score you can apply to many good institutes.
I am considering applying for HEC Grande Ecole programme and also Masters in International management from SDA Bocconi.

Sorry for such a late reply, I didn't came across this thread initially.
With a score of 680 you can apply to the top business schools in Europe. ESCP Europe, HEC Paris, CEMS, EM LYON, Universitt St.Gallen, LSE, ESSEC, EDHEC. These are the best ones for Masters in Management in Europe.
720+ GMAT is needed for top french B schools (HEC, EM LYON, ESSEC ,etc). Though you might have chance if you can a very good interview with good a SOP.
St Gallen doesn't take people from engineering background.
For LSE you again need 700+ GMAT and high GPA.
Best options for you will be to try in LBS (heard their course is not good), Cass, Rotterdam, Imperial(GMAT not required).

I am not sure where did you get that information from but when I got into EM LYON I had a GMAT score of 640. And Obviously a good SOP and interview is always required even with a high score. And I had applied into HEC, ESCP-EAP, EM LYON, Audencia, ESSEC and I got into each one of them except HEC. And I chose EM LYON for my own reasons. Obviously with a low score the chances of scholarship reduces but if you have an amazing SOP and they like you in the interview then you are good to go!
I'm not denying you cant get in with a lower score. Admission in most good schools are based on your scores, recommendations, SOP and interview. Each of these factors can compensate the other if need be.

I have an admit for Msc Management from Cass. I was wondering whether the course is worth the time and money given the economic situation across Europe + new PSW policies. Though I have got +ve reviews about the course but I am still skeptical about the employability boost the course would provide. Also, any idea about the reputation of such a course back here in India -- do people find job-roles of ,say, Business Analyst, etc in India after such courses ?Moreover, I want to do an MBA eventually, so would doing an MSc Management be a right career move?
GMAT - 700
Work-ex - 2yrs by June 2012, Indian/IT/Male
Acads - average
Extra-curriculars - good

Dear All,
any good university programs offering specialist courses in risk management in Europe??
Bumping this thread again, for the benefit of MiM applicants.
Masters in Management programs are excellent alternatives to an MBA for people who wish to gain management education right after their bachelor's. These programs are designed for applicants with little or no work experience, and offer participants the chance to gain strong business education, business exposure, and leadership skills right at the onset of their career. The value proposition of the programs is strong, and most applicants will end up on a fast-track career growth trajectory, much like that of graduates from top MBA programs. The Masters in Management program is still almost exclusively a non-U.S. phenomenon, with the best programs in Europe, Canada, and Asia.
For long, a Masters in Management was considered as a precursor to the MBA - business education at the Master's level that set one up for a career in business without really offering the same level of intensity or preparation that an MBA does. This is a myth, and a Masters in Management or MSc in Management (as it is known at some universities) can often be a strong substitute for an MBA. A majority of Masters in Management graduates treat the program as their terminal degree. And why should they not? After all, Masters in Management courses have proved their utility and value year after year across geographies, industries, and job functions.
