I have following questions in my mind. explain briefly .

1) why a person can not withdraw his money form any branch of the bank provided he has a account in same bank?

2) how does the increase in saving rates affects the banks and the economy and if it is good for banks then why it was not done earlier?

1. Didn't get ur question as far as I know a person is allowed to withdraw / deposit money from any Branch ( If I am not wrong ).

A bank is a financial Institution and Branches are just service outlet ..

Alike other brands like , Levise , pantaloons etc...

U can go and purchase garments from any outlet...

1) I have a account in SBI, once my friend deposited money in my account from different place. when I saw the account details I found they have charged 25/-. so I assumed that I might be charged some fee if I withdraw money from diff. branch of the bank (But never tried yet).

Recently I opened another account in IDBI, they told me that I could deposit/withdraw money from any other branch of the bank I'll not be charged any fee (I tried the same).

so I can say every bank do not offer that,might be the mechanism is diff.(don't know the reality)
so that made me ask that question.

Ok I understand now ...

This Rs 25 is the Processing fees which some Banks charge for intersol ( Inter Branch ) deposits and withdrawals...

U can withdraw / deposit any amount U like , from other SOL ( branches of the Same Bank ) , but some Banks might charge Processing fees for the same...

Marketing policy / charges for the same service differs from Bank to Bank , like DD charges if U r aware of are diff in diff Banks...

Similarly , charges are waived by IDBI , for Inter Sol Withdrawals and Deposits....

NOW U CAN DEPOSIT AND WITHDRAW MONEY FROM ANY BRANCH OF THE SAME BANK ( WHICH IS CBS ENABLED ) , But some banks might charge some processing fees for the same....

In one hand banks are trying to attract new account holders so that the volume of money be increased, on the other hand they are letting other bank's customer to use their money.

Is there any mechanism of settlement between banks?

Whenever U insert a card of ABC bank in XYZ Bank's ATM the machine searches the server of ABC bank ...

Then amount get's debited from your ABC Bank account...

Now the situation here is physical cash goes out from XYZ Bank's ATM machine but your account is debited from ABC account...

Similar thing can happen when a person inserts a card of XYZ bank in ABC Bank's ATM...

But whenever this interBank transfer takes place a charge has to b paid...

If a person having a/c with ABC bank can withdraw amount from XYZ bank , but XYZ will have to give Rs 22/transaction to ABC Bank for use of their ATB by it's customers...

So all the Banks nowadays are trying to improve their ATM network and they hav imposed restriction of 5 withdraws / month...

There can never be any perfect answer for Interview Questions ,still I am trying to post something meaningful -

Why only U ? ( Remember when U r asked this question it's virtually selling yourself for acceptance the same way a Salesman markets his/her product ) Try to market / present yourself highlighting ur best qualities..

Coz I am -

Positive attitude , determined, energetic, motivated, optimistic individual.

If not in bank where would you like to join??

I am confident about my selection in a bank , I am also appearing for other exams like SSC , LIC and XYZ .... exams ,in the meanwhile but my join some Org , but will keep trying for Bank PO jobs ...

I will personally walk down and take up the responsibility along with co-workers and will try to work in a team , and try to efficiently manage the entire situation..

I am appearing for clerical as well as PO , coz now I need an entrance , however my ultimate goal is to climb up the hierarchical ladder , hence I will prefer to become a join as a PO.

Now my priority is a job to support my family and I am confident moving up the hierarchical ladder , so I am ready to serve the organisation , If I am offered the job as a PO. Moreover I hav heard Banks do hav xternal Internal promotional policies , will go for those...

It will b really difficult t handle Branch operation initially coz to handle a Branch we need to have enough practical exposure , experience and knowledge...

Will surely love to handle BM's responsibilities but after some practical experience in the Banking world..

SBI PO interviews are gng on nw and i saw a post on fb by sm1 who recently attended it....he says ki they are asking about ur city..what s famous in ur city, population, area, who establish it, and whats the meaning of name, famous events held there like war, any famous people from ur city etc....

sm1 4m kolkata here who can help me out wid this......
