Hi guys. Just wanted to check on how the prep for other exams are going before giving MICAT!?

Hey !

What is the weightage given on past academic credentials ?

How to prepare for MICAT? For how many marks is the exam and what is the approximate cut off?

I am writing MAT this Septemeber 6th. So to crack MICAT is there any coaching centre which provides lectures? Or the coaching for MAT itself is enough?

What will be the syllabus of MICAT & shortlist criteria for MICA ?

MICAT and SNAP are on the same date. And SIMC comes under SNAP only. If anybody is focusing on these two colleges, then what shall he/she do now?

Would the FINAL admission list be prepared only on the basis of the trailing GE PI round? Or would it be based on the performance in MICAT + GE PI combined ??

Now that MICAT is online..how will the written part be taken?? Will we have to type the story and debate part??

Hi @MICAstudents

Now that eligibility for MICAT is restricted by appearing either CAT, GMAT or XAT do marks scored in these exams carry different weightage?

Does the shortlisting for GDPI depend on one's MICAT performance or is it done after the GDPI as a total evaluation of all the components?

MICAT will  undergo  major changes in 2016.  To sum up the changes:

*The selection process for PGDM-C 2016-18 to happen twice.

*Candidates will have to take at least one of the three eligibility exams: CAT 2015, XAT 2016 and GMAT (2012 onwards).

*MICAT will be held only in the computer based format in 14 cities across the country.

*First phase Group Exercise & Personal Interview (GE-PI) will be conducted at Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata & Mumbai and the second phase GE-PI at MICA, Ahmedabad only.

According to Dr. Shubhra Gaur, Chairperson-PGDM Admissions, the reason for holding two selection processes is to offer more opportunities to candidates.

Important Dates

For the first phase of the selection process, MICAT will be held in 14 cities and GE-PI will be held in four cities - Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Website update and applications open:September 10, 2015

Applications close: December 04, 2015

MICA Admission Test (MICAT) - computer based test in 14 cities: December 20, 2015

Call letters for GE-PI: December 30, 2015

GE-PI (at Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai): January 15-18, 2016

Confirmed Admission Offer: January 31, 2016

so GE PI will happen twice!? does this mean that more number of calls will be given to candidates who wrote MICAT??

Dear MICAspirants,

The MICAT for the first phase of the admission process will now take place on the 13th of December instead of the 20th of December, 2015.

Please take note of this and spread the word.

HI TI...Till now ,i am sure about  only 1 thing that MICAT is scheduled on 13 December..Rest of the notification is still kind of ambiguous  for me.I am not sure what this "GE-PI  will happen twice" statement actually means. So can you please clear the air and let me know what it implies.

Hi.. Can anyone help me how to prepare for MICAT??

I'm an engineer working outside India and applying as an NRI for MICA's PGDM(C). Hence, I'm writing the GMAT exam. What is the minimum score required for getting in?

Hi @MICAstudents,

By when can we expect the MICAT sample paper to be available on the website?

I have a query. There is no mention of Quantitative ability in the Testing Pattern section on the Website. So should we expect any Quant questions or should we prepare for the rest?
