The shortlist of candidates for GD/PI of MFC/MBE Programme - 2011-13 is out. Individual mails are being sent out to those shortlisted.

Selection Criteria:
CAT percentile (50% weightage) and educational performace and background (50% weightage). GD/PI is likely be held from March 14, 2011 at the South Campus, University of Delhi, Delhi. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about exact date and time of their GD/PI by post latest by Feb. 21, 2011.

The total number of seats for the 2 courses are:
MFC - 46
MBE - 82
The total number of calls for GD-PI are ~500...so 1:4 ratio for conversion..

The way things are going, soon MBA would be a degree meant for only school and college topppers and that too with 90%+ throughout their careers..
They should start writing their eligibility requirements like:
Minimum 95% in SSC, HSC with 90+ in graduation (we dont care whether your university doesn't even give 80% or whatever)
Minimum XX years of work-ex..

Sorry for spamming but this is really really disappointing...

96.xx tile in CAT(98.xx in QA and LR, 72 in VA :drinking::drinking:)

91 in SSC
81 in HSC (science)
69 % in B.Pharmacy(There not a single person in our SP university till date who has ever scored 80% in pharma)

Now he doesn't get a call.. :drinking::drinking:
He is interested in Finance only.

....my advice to call getters:-discuss and interact as much as possible in order to know each other better and facilitate the best possible gd/pi prep . Suggested Format:-

really yaar its really disheartning what 50% background means.I got 50% in grad. and from
DU only. Do they don't know their marking scheme?
Now I really feel abjected!!!

dude you have a different story .. people are getting calls for MBE and rejected by MFC .. unarguably the cut offs for MFC have been higher than MBE ..

by the way i didn't get a call from MFC inspite of 99.44 in CAT :drinking:can you please share your profile (if you a general category student)

3.5 years of wrk ex...
10th : 89 %
12th: 94%
grad: 64%

dude you have a different story .. people are getting calls for MBE and rejected by MFC .. unarguably the cut offs for MFC have been higher than MBE ..

I personally feel that they gv preferences 2 comm. or eco. backgrounds n acads for MBE (the course demands it...i'v seen the curriculum)...n a higher weightage 2 sectionals n CAT score for MFC...bt the hv mentioned the criteria which is confusing me.

Dude, the same has happened with me. I got through MFC but missed MBE. Although I prefer MFC over MBE (may be bcoz i am from an engg background), yet i wonder what could have been the reason for this. I personally feel that the admission authorities have given higher preference to comm/eco background students for MBE.

BTW, my profile:
CAT: OA 95.47 (all secs above 85)
10th: 93.4 (CBSE)
12th: 86.8 (CBSE)
Grad: 71% (B.Tech, IT)

No work experience.
