Institute of Management Studies organized its Annual Management & Cultural Festival – Melange'13 from March 21st -22nd , 2013. The extravaganza is organized each year to provide a competitive platform to management students.
The festival was inaugurated by the Director of the Institute, Dr C. S Nagpal by flagging off the MARATHON from Kavi Nagar Ram Lila Ground to the premises of the institute. The theme of the Marathon was, “save Paper, save Trees”, a green initiative. More than 200 students participated with full enthusiasm and jest to show their solidarity with this theme. Harvansh Singh of MCA, second year won the first prize, whereas second prize went to Yogesh Kumar.
Throughout the day, the students competed in various events in each of the management and technology verticals. The academic events were also accompanied by co-curricular and cultural events held at the Lal Quan Campus of I.M.S Ghaziabad, which ended with a gala Fashion Show
This year's edition of Melange'13 provided the arena where knowledge, business acumen and warrior traits of the competitors were tested. Some of the events were Share wizard, Need for Speed, Quiz, Face painting , T- shirt painting, Debate, Extempore, Face off, View point, Antakshari, solo dance and group dance. The first prize for quiz were won by Vishal Srivastava and Parsoon Singh of MCA, 1st year, while the team from PGDM, 1st year i.e. Rupam Saxena and Shivangi won the first prize.
At the end of the Fest, all the prizes for different events were distributed by Shri Pramod Agarwal, Chairman, IMS Group of Institution.The treasurer of IMS Society shri Sanjay Agarwal and Executive Council Member, Shri Rakesh Chharia were also present.
The director, Dr C. S. Nagpal, during his speech, emphasized on the importance of managing such events, by the students. The enthusiasm and the participation of the students, during these two days of the annual fest was praiseworthy.
