Can someone please help me to the best of your knowledge as to the main difference between an MBA(Sales and Marketing) and MBA-IT?

I am an Information Tech student working as a s/w engg for 2 yrs now.
I am planning of taking either of the above mentioned courses depending on your suggestions. So please help me out by giving valuable suggestions.

Or, if you think that these courses dont suite an IT engg, then do you suggest me some other course. By the way, I am panning to undertake my higher studies in Australia. Kindly help at the earliest.

First i would like to differentiate between both the courses.

MBA(Sales and Marketing) will provide you main focus on MBA and specialisation in sales and Marketing which will help you develop your skills in Marketing area. you can expect the jobs in Sales, Marketing, Branding, Advertising related feilds.

MBA in IT will give you deep knowledge about IT and its functioning. It will help you in landing into any company with your job related towards IT feild.

Now the selection of course would depend solely on your interest. But if you are planning for PR in Australia than i would suggest you to move ahead with MBA in IT or MIT as IT is considered to be a skilled labour over there which is in short fall, so you can fetch more points and you can get the PR easily.
