Hello Friends ..
Its been 3 years , i am into Software Development - working as software Engineer in an MNC. I have done my Masters in Information Technology(M.Sc.IT) from India (Mumbai University) . I am planning to do my MBA from US .But the problem is like most of the people I am also bit confused ,in which field sud i do my MBA ??.
As my interest is to get into function side of Software Developments i.e s/w consulting , Business Development Manager .
As i have gone through many post and read discussion on MBA in MIS (a well know MBA course in US ) OR IT, Most of people suggest not to go for that courses according to my profile .
As i want my previous experience to count , so can you suggest some other options which can be will have great opportunity and be force multiplier in my Career in US after completion of my course .
My thinking is that Doing General MBA wouldn't help . Specializing in something is the only option .Also Doing Specializing in Finance .. for which i m not so keen or interested.
I'm planning for Jan Intake 2010 for MBA. Please do suggest me .. which
help me to see my path ahead clearly .
I hope some of you can gimme some pointers , which helps me to figure out my way .

Araval,
You are the best judge for yourself where your interest lies. So carefuly assess your interests/career goals before opting for any specialization. As far as MIS/Masters in IT goes, I'm sure it will help you to build your career in IT specific areas.
You can also look for MS-MBA option (one at Boston Univ is highly rated). They are slightly intense than a normal MBA and includes IT and technology courses, which are suited for people who want to continue with IT/Technology.
