I am looking for information about MBA Programs in India. I found some at http://www.find-mba.com/india but I am not sure which ones are good and if there are more than ones listed there. Can anyone give me some ideas about the Indian b schools with the best reputation?

For starters, I would suggest you look @ the Indian Institutes of Management . There are six of them. Google 'em up...Among other leading institutes would be XLRI, FMS, IIFT, NITIE....You also have the Indian School of Business (isb) which, inspite of being a young school, has really picked up quite a bit.

I am assuming you are an international with zilch knowledge of the indian MBA scene....Search around this forum and you might find threads related to MBA admissions for internationals in the IIMs. A better option would be to ping a few IIM students on the board like snan or people going to ISB like capreal26 ....All da best :)

ps: i dont really know how you landed up in the site that you've mentioned, but take it from me, the schools listed there are as pathetic as that site 😉

I dont agree with uRmad, the site sadin referred to (http://www.find-mba.com/india) lists 266 Indian programs as far as I see. That does seem rather comprehensive to me...:oha:

The top rated institutes will be the ones already mentioned in previous posts. Monthl/weekly magazines often come out with B-School rankings for India. The assessments are quite comprehensive. Yes, there might be disagreements on the exact positions of the institutes, but overall, it'll give you a pretty clear picture here.

dude i donno wat u see while looking at B School ratings or rankings.list of institutes is quite comprehensive bt its far more misleading. jus look at tht site in terms of popularity its list goes like this:
IIMA
NM
British Council???????
LIBA:wow:
BIM:wow:
Cochin Institute of science & tech. :wow: :wow:
..
.. n so on.
n wat more it has placed eye eye pee em (banglore ,delhi ,ahmedabad, hydrabad campuses) above FMS, IIFT n L,I,K etc. etc.

I agree, the popularity ranking does seem weird. But as far as I can see the rank of a program is determined by the number of views it gets from the users of the site. So I guess its more appropriate to say that the users of the site are pretty weird :crazyeye: ...
