Hi Everybody ,
I am a mechanical engineer working with Siemens since the last 4 years.
My GMAT score: 640 (V/ Q : 29/4
TOEFL: 297
ENGG: 1st div with honors (PEC, Chandigarh)
Extracurricular : Debates, paper presentations, sports all in all I would say decent if not great.
I got an admit from University of Connecticut this week without any kind of aid. Is it worthwhile to go to this school without any aid ??
Your answers can help me decide to go 4 it or not. So please do not
hesitate to answer my query.

This is the only admit that I received for fall 2006. Scanning the site

I was unable to find any information on placements or interships. Does anybody has any idea about the placements\ internships.

eagerly awaiting intelligent answers

Hi Dilbert,
Do check Senapati's and Simba's answers to my question at the 'phoren bschool assistance desk' thread. you could even check http://www.topmba.com/mentor_new/media_partners/topmba/ for placement stats and other things. I would personally not recommend moving to connecticut (or any MBA school except the top 25) without aid since the risk is too high to justify the expenses. Moreover schools can only assist you to find a job/internship. Also if you need aid, you might consider giving the GMAT once again since it is one of the very important factors schools consider when they grant aid /GA. Remember its a standardized test given by candidates world over in almost the same testing (ideal) conditions so it gives the evaluators a better benchmark for picking students.
More on placements at http://www.businessweek.com/bschools/05/full_time_profiles/connecticut3.htm
Hope this helps.
