Am a student currently at Leeds University Business School pursuing Full time MBA and will like to tell all MBA aspirants applying at Leeds University, please do not think of wasting your money at here. The course structure is very poor, faculty are not upto the mark. The placement service cell comprises of only two people and they are responsible for entire business school which has over 5000 students in Full time courses. When i had a telephonic conversation it was too promising but in my opinion it is total waste of money and time.
Further Leeds University has been slipping off the ranking over last few years and this year it did not even make it to top 100 in such case seeking job in UK will be next to impossible. Given the stricter visa norms and current economic turmoil that UK is in, Leeds University is the worst possible choice.
Hi,
After reading ur post, I even read last year post wherein Apurva (alumni of 2010-11 batch) had given a positive feedback regarding the Quality of education, faculty and companies coming for internship such as Pwc, Deloitte, nokia etc.
Ya, even I have also written my own feedbacks in last year's blog..u also might have read that. We all understand and are aware that basis the stringent visa norms and the economic scenario in UK, its very difficult to get a job but can you briefly give ur feedback that what has actually happened that made u realized that it's just waste of money n time.
Also, if you can kindly ask ur inidan batchmates also to join this forum and give their feedback also(if they can find out some time). Has Shruti, Somnath joined in your batch...if so, Please request them also to provide their valuable feedback.
It would be really of great help to us.
regards,
Manas

Even i got carried away with what apurva had said. I even confronted him after coming here and it so turns out that he agrees with me now, since he hasn't landed with a job even though he has work permit.
When i say it is not worth it. I mean in terms of over all experience. The quality of education is below average. If you are going in after few years of work experience you will expect something way better than what is offered here. And you will only understand once you go to a b-school. The quality of faculty is not good. I would say it is average.
Like in case of Corporate Finance the whole cohort suffered because of the approach of a professor.
I cant speak of what others may have to say on this. In my opinion it is not the best option.
Hi,
Off course we all understand that it is not the best option and still we choose to go because of the only decent B-school in UK among all the Tier2 B-schools in terms of the affordability. As per my knowledge, most of the B-schools have tuition fees of more than 21000 GBP and every year it increases.
Even I know one of my colleague who got into Warwick MBA last year said that the quality of education in good but even he dosen't feel that its worth of 26800 GBP (last year) and this year after it was ranked 27th in FT global MBA ranking, they have increased the fees to staggering 30000 GBP. Wowww...can u imagine that...almost as equivalent to Judge & Said B-schools. See, I have always believe you get what you pay and that's the reason that LUBS has not increased their fees this year also. And Also we should ask ourself that when we got LUBS unconditional offer did we have any other better option than LUBS at that particular point of time?
For me, last year I had offer from MDI-Gurgaon for MBA in Energy Management programme, Aston, Birmingham etc etc and from LUBS..So out of these , if I need to decide what should I decide? Although, I deferred my admission of LUBS and this year they have again asked me to re apply and on 21st Feb'11 I was interviewed by Mary Landen. So, if I honestly ask myself considering my budget, I actually don't have any other option.
