Hi ,
I am currently working as a Junior analyst with ones of the bulge bracket firms in their investment banking division . I am an enginner by degree ,passed out from bits pilani goa . I am confused about my career options. having made a move to finance from IT , i would like to stick to this field , but not necessarily in IB. i would put forward my primary concerns:
1. mba in india vs mba abroad , if i can manage the financing of my mba as well. which one would be a better option, spending two years in an mba college in india will bring me back here ..instead if i work here for the same time .. i see myself being in the same postion if not better. however i feel there is a bias in the industry for mba grads, even though i do the same kind of work as they do.. they are valued more in the job market. can an mba from a good university abroad help me leverage my experience better ?
2. i am really keen in wealth/asset management jobs.. where are the work hours are not as insane as in IB and i guess better quality than the IB backoffice work . How good is the market in india for these kind of profiles and what campuses do the recruiters visit ??
3. value of cfa .. nowadays i see every one around having a cfa l1 or l2 .. is it really worth the time n effort now ?

Thanks
