Atmosphere of the institute is gud...........its one of the best Indian Institute of India..infrastructure of inst. is awesome........... faculties and mgt is very helpful..

And placement process is currently gng on......6 students are already placed and got package b/w 4.5 to 6 lac till nw and companies are cmg fr recrutmnt....tcs is cmg fr mba on 11th dec..

What is the CAT cut off for this college??
And fee for MBA??

the cuttoff is above 70%ile for general.....
total course fees is 1.9lac including hostel n mess charges...........

Batch size depends on the students....IIITM takes quality rather than quantity.............current batch size is 30.....nd previous batch size is 43..

write nw there is no info abt forms nd last date applyng.......bt last date of form may be in march r april 1st week...

Guys, the forms are out and the last date for sending in the applications is 25 Feb 2011.

what is last year cut off for sc category in CAT to join IIITM


Not sure about the SC category, however, in general category, in my batch (2009-2011), almost everyone has percentile of over 80, some even more than 90.

I will keep you informed if I get to know the cut-off for SC category last year.

hey seniors... i have got 80.56 in cat 2010, i am a BE in electronics and Telecommunication(assam engineering college),2010 passed out...no work exp? i have 62.17% according to my university(Gauhati University) norms..which is considered as 2nd class..nd aggregate 59.8%.... m i eligible for iiitm? what ws last years cat cut off? plz reply

Placements are going on at full swing. Being a IIIT, in fact the oldest of them all, majority of the recruiters are from the IT sector, however some of the recruiters have been from infrastructure, power, automobile and other sectors as well. Profiles offered are Management Consulting, Strategic Sales, Channel Development, Advisory to name a few.

If I understand correctly, you have 62.17% in the final year whereas the aggregate of 8 semesters is 59.8%. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Since the aggregate is less than 60%, it is better if you clear about your eligibility from the Assistant Registrar, Mr. Pankaj Gupta, by calling on 0751-2449720 (extension is 720, just in case you are asked for extension by the IVR)

In case you are not able to reach him for some reason or another, post back and I will look up his email ID and can even check with him personally to seek the required information.

sir.. i have been trying in dat no 5-6 times.. but nobody is receiving my call..

and 62.17% is not my final sem marks.
according to our university norms..i have 62.17% overall..it is taken out by gving different weightages to marks obtained in diff yrs.. 10% weightage to 1st sem n 2nd sem.....20% to 3rd and 4th sem..70% to 5th n 6th sem.n 100% to 7th and 8th sem..calculating all dese my total % comes to 62.17(which is mentioned in my final BE marksheet).. bt if i take out average ,it is 59.8%..
