Before you plunge into finance you got to make it very clear to yourself what exactly you want to do in finance.

in finance either you can do MBA(fin.) or go for MFC by various unversities. however I should make it clear to you that MFC of DFS at delhi University is the first MFC in India and the best. You may not get the same advantage if you pursue MFC from any other university.

another option is that you can pursue courses like Chartered Financial Analyst(of USA and not ICFAI) while working. There are dedicated threads about it at PG.

you can think of Chartered accountancy/cost accountancy, but there are certain clauses for practical training which might not suit you if you are akready a graduate ( more so in the case of CA)

another option is that there are some cerifications like crisil certified and some from NSE hich target stock markets. which give you very narrow but focussed career path.

the final say is yours. use the search tool at PG on above topics

Hope it helps!!!

Hi,

I have done a small research and found out some of the programs in finance available in India. However, I do not know the quality of the courses offered nor do its reputation. I developed interest in Finance recently and so searching the net for Finance specialised P.G programs and stumbled upon the below,

1. MFC in DU (as mentioned by many)
2. MFC - Amity University, Noida
3. ITM IFM, Khargar, Navi Mumbai
Masters in Financial Markets
PGP FM
Msc (in collaboration with University of Reading, U.K)
4. MFC from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, TamilNadu.
5. PGDM in Wealth Management in ****, New Delhi.(guess it's an MBA sort of course)

I was searching PG for the same info (Masters in Finance in INDIA) , but unfortunately was not able to find much info  than what I knew. Anyone, please help me out in exploring more programs in India.

By the way, this is my first post in PG.
Hope it helps.

Cheers.

have u heard about the FE program from IFMR chennai.

where do you rate this among those listed above?

Financial Engineering is one of a kind program. I think this course is provided by only IFMR in India. It's a very popular course available in Finance with much Quant based subjects rather than theory.

I would probably rate this equal to MFC,DU, though they are different programs.

please tell me about the masters in finance but good preferably in india very early,,,...?

Please go through the earlier posts!! I have mentioned few courses that I'm aware of...

In addition to that here are the few institutes.... Please check with the institutes if they provide degrees or certificates of their own programme...

1. ICOFP - Welcome to International College of Financial Planning ::

Pls google it and know about them in detail.

search for Indian Institute of finance

IIf does not provide much information about the placements and the infrastructure on their website. However, it comes under top90 b-schools in TIME institute's rankings. I would suggest you to talk with the current batch of students and decide upon it.
