2nd Marathon -2013

Marathon has become an inseparable part of Imsian's cultural extravaganza. We at IMS frimly believes that healthy mind lives in healhty body.Keeping this in mind, the tradition is carried forward this year too. This not only tests the endurance of an individual but also pervades ecofriendly messages outside in NCR too. IMS firmly believes in “Going Green” without harming the mother earth. The budding managers are aslo encouraged to adopt “Green Technologies” .

The 2nd Marathon is being organized on 18th November, 2013. Following points are very important for the participants:

· The registration will be strictly on first come first serve basis;

· There will be three trophies for I, II and III positon holders in male and female categories;

· Each participant will be given a participation certificate;

· Each participant will be given “T-Shirt” containing “Go Green” messages and IMS logo on front side and back side of the T-shirt;

· Only two participants from per institute per stream, from NCR region will be allowed to participate, subject to submitting of proper institutional recommendation letter and ID card;

· The Route map will be displayed prior to the event organizing;

· The total distance is not more than 4 kilometers;

· The marathon will start from Ramlila Ground at Kavinagar at 9 AM and wind up at IMS Lal Quan Campus;

· On the way, proper arrangements of water, and glucose will be available;

· Also medical assistance and traffic police will be provided for smooth functioning,

· Student volunteers will be placed all along the route and IMS bus will be following at the end;

· In case any participant seems exhausted, he will be immediately provided help and lifted to bus coming from behind,

Institute of business management of GLA University is the proud organizer of the management fest AGRATA'14. The two days fest will start on 19th of April. It is more then a fest, it is a talent hunt show. After its first success AGRATA'13, the fest is back again for another talent hunt with a social cause. Some portion of the fund collected will be given for the welfare of the weaker sections of the society like unprivileged children, widows and orphanage. Various events like Rubaroo(debate), Udaan(business plan),quiz, skit, singing event etc will be organized. Students are really looking forward for the fest with a social cause.

College Fest is the most heavily attended event , attracting thousands of college students each year! It includes lots of activities and performances and enthusiasm, also gives an amazing chance to college students to socialize with students of other colleges, showcase their talents and take a break from their busy study schedules. Thus an initiative is taken by the Institute of Business Management, GLA University, Mathura for the same. It is going to organize a national level talent hunt, €œAgrata'14 , a management fest. This fest was organized last year also which was a success and this time various alterations are made to make it even larger than last year. This time Agrata'14 has come up with a Social cause. It has a mission to uplift the weaker sections of the society, thus some portions of the collected fund will be contributed to the social welfare programs. It has organized various academic and non academic activities for its students which includes 'Fest in €œo €? Beatz'-dancing event, 'Goonj' , which is a singing event, 'Brainwaves', which is a management quiz, 'Rubaroo' is a debate and its topic is 'Indian movies spoiling country's youth and culture', then comes the Extempore: 'Explorika', 'Kritansh' -fine arts competition, Rangoli: 'Splash' (Theme: colors of India) , face painting, Ad-Mad show: 'Innowiz' , Mimicry 'Laughter Gulle', Case Study presentation 'Mind Spark', Management Skit 'Samavesh', Chess Competition 'Chakravyuh', Best Out of Waste 'Srujan', Colors of India (RAINBOW), and last but not the least Treasure hunt (Dragons). The registration fees is ranging from Rs. 50-150, varies for each event, so are the rules and regulations respectively. So with a set of such exciting and power thrilled activities, crowd can expect much more fun this year. 'Agrata' has strived harder to put their best foot forward to make it fascinating and memorable. Be it calling renowned singers, actors, organizing talent shows and jam sessions or participating in quizzes and competitions, college fest communities make sure to put best elements in it to make it the best time of the year and memorable event of life time for college students.

Life at GLA is filled with new learning and happenings. Students of the university have faced many competitions and challenges in order to put forward their talents. Various programs like quiz, extempore, skit etc are organized in the University. Similar in this row, a Role Play Competition was launched by IBM at GLA University. As we know that role play is all about discussions to bring out good ideas. The role play was organized for the students of BBA, MBA, BCom and Management. Students discussed and shared their views with everyone, not only this at the end they also came to know about expert views on the topic. This interactive session helped the students in enhancing their knowledge.

Fest of a university are the greates asset to the students. Different universities celebrate their annual cultural fest in their own manner. Management fests are also an important aspect of college fest. The management departmant of GLA University too celebrates its management fest in its own and unique manner. Agrata the management fest of GLA University was organized on 19th and 20th of April 2014. Different intresting and knowledgeous programs and events were lines up for the event. Extempore was one of the most talked about event of the fest. The program was about to check the spontanity of the students. Students actively participated in the program and showcased their spontaneous talents.

A panel of distinguished judges from the industry will judge the event.

Vyamaham is a two round event:
Round 1 being an online case study analysis.
Round 2 will be a person-situation or real-life event based debate, which would be held on the campus.
8 teams will qualify from round 1 to round 2.

4. The shortlisted teams for Round 2 would be informed and invited for the final round, which would take place at FORE School of Management's Campus on 19th November, 2016.
5. The decision of the judges would be final and binding.
