i just got a call from a cousin who is applying to nitie...he got a mail from nitie regarding the pgdisem course...this is the gist of the mail:
the mail started giving details about the course and the placements and asked if he was interested in applying. it said that he should tick both options (pgdim and pgdisem)in the application form. if the form has already been sent, then reply to this mail.
i havent received the mail...what abt the others in pagalguy?
1)the only info that nitie has abt the students at this stage is whether we are freshers or not...
2)and also the marks secured in school and college.
my cousin has 2 yrs work ex and i am a fresher... is that the reason i havent got the mail? and my cousin counted 23 addresses to whom the mail was sent to...
guys from nitie...can u plz give us more details abt this?

This should clear all doubts regarding the admission process in NITIE. The mails that were sent asking for the preference (PGDIM/PGDISEM) was because of a mistake in the application form. The process of mailing to the students is still 'on' and those who have not received the mail till now can still send a mail to [email protected] indicating your preference.

I got this mail long back. Havent gone through it after that. but this was my understanding of the issue...
I think in the application form that was originally sent to them,we ticked only 1 box i.e. the course which was our 1st preference. The form did not have a provision to say whether we were interested in the second course or not ( for the sake of shortlisting) . So, in order to make your preference clearly known, this mail was sent from nitie.
I think the last line of the mail says that only if we are interested in the other course we need to mail them back. Or else there is no need to mail them. This was my understanding of the situation at that time.
I would be glad if someone corrects me if i am wrong.
