Hi,
I have got admission for M.Sc. in Finance at Cass as well as Imperial. Can anyone pls advice which one to talk up and why? Also, can someone pls give a brief about the placements and avg packages for this course at both places?
Thank you

mod note: use personal messages to share emails and phone numbers.
It's a decision which even I had to make. Points to be considered are:
1. Both are located in London, so they cancel each other out in that respect.
2. While Cass Business School is the largest provider of Finance courses and has a great Finance department, Imperial's Business School does not have the same reputation, although it too is good.
3. Although as a University, Imperial College > City Univ., when it comes to studying business, management or finance, we look at the business school reputations. Clearly both are reputed schools, so this cancels the University factor.
4. Cass has recently got a triple accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) while Imperial does not have the much coveted AACSB accreditation. Both are CFA program partners, so that is also good.
5. After all this, I asked a friend who was studying MSc. Finance at Imperial whether I should go there and I was told not to come as he described the course as "Impractical, too mathematical and less useful as compared to that of Cass".
6. I spoke to 4 students at Cass and they said that the course was great, teaching was great and it suited them very well. In fact, you guys read the modules that Cass offers in it's MSc. courses. They are superb.
After all this, I had no doubt that Cass Business School's MSc. courses are superior to that of Imperial.
Hope this helps.
:)
