I have a gpa of 6.5 from a commerce college (india today top 10), with a few ncfm certifications and have held few leadership positions too. assuming i get a really good CAT/XAT etc score. which b schools do i have chances in?
Which b-schools do not place too much emphasis on UG gpa and more on entrance test score and candidate profile?gd and PI ?
And seniors please guide on what i could do to overshadow my gpa..I have some time left i guess..In my second year now

Your undergrad gpa is important along with your 10th and 12th gpa 'cos IIMs have a weightage for past gpas for shortlisting candidates for calls .
80% & + = good-to go
60-80% = is considered to be average, case 1 applicable.
Case 1:Fresher
any b-school except ISB,IIM ABCI ( unless you score a 99.7+ percentile ), little chance in other IIMs and XLRI , good to go in other great b-schools such as FMS(99.4+ recommended), NITIE(98.5+) , IITs (depends, usually 92-98.4), NMIMS, SIBM, IIFT etc.
Case 2:With an 24+ month work exp
good to go in all the b-schools with a 99.5+ percentile
@knowledgepower : A percentile of 96+ would enhance your chances of getting calls from premier institutions , just don't get stuck up over just the IIMs, good luck !!
