Eligibility: a) Masters degree with 55% aggregate marks in a relevant discipline or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST and Interview; b) Other conditions as prescribed in the Guidelines for Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes. (5% relaxation to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently-abled candidates) .LPU composed of the best faculties from IIM, IITs and the other best B schools. Maximum faculties are PhD’s or pursuing the same. After that, you have to qualify for the LPUNEST exam if you have not qualified for a national level test such as GATE, UGC NET, CSIR, GPAT, etc. The entrance will have 70% weightage in selection. After that, you have to appear for an interview and qualify for the same and have 30% weightage for the final selection. You may avail of scholarships also on the basis of LPUNEST or National Level Test. There is a special scholarship for female students to pursue a full-time or part-time Ph.D. at LPU.
The faculty is extensively working on the research and the students are also helping them in this regard . The faculty members are burning the midnight oil to meet the requirements of the curriculum as well as the students . One of the most interesting thing is that very recently LPU has propounded an app through which the students could communicate their grievances, discussions or other material could also be uploaded by the professors on it. I believe this is the best platform where the students could at point of time discuss anything to their faculties . This would also lead to the better understanding between between both the levels. Research papers, Book chapters, Patents are playing protagonist in the life of professors so this could also decline the gap between the professors and students. LPU has also collaborated with foreign faculties ,so the students are also getting the opportunities to interact with them.
