When i joined FMS,i was told that being a 90 percentiler u shud have opted for something else.but now i am so happy abt this institute.being a university,it may lag behind on infrastructure part but the placement rockssss.ultimately placements matter.FMS BHU,never adds nor it has ne ranking.....but i wud like 2 put some factsss
Total fees--28000
facilities-worldclass(gym,internet,sports,free medical facilities....etc etc..
faculty-gr888,experienced and knowledgeable
placement-Till Now -avg. around 6 lks.(highest 8, lowest 3.5)
50% placements r in public sectors....all major banks....
all else one needs......after spending 28000,compared to 6-7 lakhs in other institutes....

great to hear from u abt the life in FMS, so wht is the total subject one has to study for the first semester
dear freind.....6 subjects in 1st n 6 in 2nd.once u get in,everything seems to be easy....u will work day and night still energised......full fun..full masti

only CAT score is accepted and cutoff for 2011-13 batch is 84 percentile....

My Rank was 49 in final merit list (general category). What are my chances of getting hostel facility as I prefer to stay in hostel??

Hi Losetowin,
In last admission season the CAT cutoff for general category was 82.73 percentile.
And as far as placements are concerned, there is almost equal opportunity for all and salary packages can vary with time.
For instance, in 2010 placements a marketing research firm has given higher package in comparison to other recruiters. But in 2011 Reserve Bank of India visited the campus for finance profile and they also paid higher in comparison to others.
So placements can vary year by year according to conditions of market and many more uncontrollable factors but here, in FMS-BHU, everyone gets equal opportunity and assistance from Faculty's/College's side. So it is upto you whether you want to go for finance or marketing or any other field.

avg is 7lpa and highest is 15lpa, i dont have the correct data for OBC cutoff though cutoff for general candidates was 83.xx ..........and as a fresher u can still get a final convert if your percentile is way above the cutoff, all the best

so practically u should come to the counter to get your form
and dont be confused with fms delhi and fms-bhu
fms delhi is under university of delhi and fms-bhu is under banaras hindu university, though both are central universities.

A humble request to all the seniors of FMS-BHU. If each one of you can manage and take out just half an hour of your busy schedule and post your tryst with FMS-BHU, then maybe many of us will get inspired and yes, with certainty the name of FMS-BHU will get an upliftment.
