I am starting this thread to give all the PG guys a glimpse of Executive MBA life... There are all experienced people with diversified background.... So peer knowledge sharing and fun can not be lesser than any 2 year program.
I have seen lots of 2yrs MBA life thread but not a single for Executive MBA..
Come on Guys.. can't we have a life???
My mates at IMT G, please join in. Here we will show others how can an exe MBA may also be as much funny and interactive like any 2 yrs program.
Executive MBA friends from all colleges...you are also heartily welcome with all your fundas and your day-to-day life..
Yes, I think it is high time that we show the way to many other aspirants like us.. Excellent initiative.. Let's keep this active.. At least our juniors will have some folks to look up to :)..
All PG guys.. Patriot,Karthik.venkat, Para777,Satya9123, Bong_connection, sank, Unravelcode... and others unmasked ourselves and it was really amazing.
It was a long day... starting from Registration to hostel allotment to buying necessary stuffs.. we had some anxious but funny moments and enjoyed in unison with all other friends. Hostel canteen is good... Our mates in 2 yr program are very much helpful as well.
Tomorrow is our orientation class at 10.
So definitely will be able to see all together for the first time.....
Guys: come on.. need the munch of your feelings too...
Yep. I agree.. College life is just so good.. I wish we were here for the 2 yr course though!! I envy the regular batch folks :).. However, lets just make use of this opportunity to the max possible extent and lets just have fun :)... Welcome guys..
Well, sitting here in the room, I just thought to pen down certain thoughts regarding the life so far in a 1 year MBA program.
i.) It is like a crash course, trimesters keep on coming. Bang your head with them.
ii.) You have to be crystal clear on your specializations by the end of first trimester. The time to move on comes in 3 months (unlike an year for 2 year program).
iii.) Improve your business communication skills on your own. There will be no PDP, BC classes conducted owing to time crunch in the 1 year program.
iv.) Participation in the regular campus events is a must for add ons to your profile. Though you will be treated like a step-brother by the 2 year fellows, but just encroach in to their territory (by representing the executive batch), if it has to be like that.
v.) If you are not yet into it, then don't be in an illusion that the one year is really burdensome and hectic. The only time you study for an exam (my subjective opinion) is the day before it.
later...
Just screwed my ME paper today and too reluctant to prepare for OB tomorrow.
Just a word of caution for all who are aspiring for 1 yr program... if you are unable to take immense stress that include Sleeping Its really really tough.
I am not discouraging you but better to have a set up in mind before you come.
Life rocks otherwise....
Thanks friend...
