Hello all,
I am a first year student at Core Business School, Indore. An institute, with so many innovations! We're part of an industry mentorship, we have summer internships, AIESEC, NEN, various committees within the campus, campus companies, and the most significant thing is that we are focused on, use of digital technologies like ERPs.
Building blocks of the institution

These values are the pillars of CBS.
Educational thrust: The 21st century has seen the World Wide Web permeate every aspect of life. The future lies in innovation, creativity, new ideas and entrepreneurship, and thinking out of the box. The institute provides the basis for the holistic development of a student in every such aspect.
The Institute has a tie-up with many NGOs that work for the development of the country at grass root level, which in turn provides opportunities to the students so that they can contribute in the development of the society. These NGOs are:
National Entrepreneurship Network:- NEN provides a base for the students to inculcate and enhance the entrepreneurial skills in them, various activities related to entrepreneurship are regularly conducted in and out of the campus.
GOONJ:- Goonj is an initiative taken by Mr. Anshu Gupta to help needful people with the help of people who reside in the nearby places. Institute is the only center in Indore for cloth collection activity, every year more than one truckload of clothes is collected by the students for the needful people this is just a brief glimpse of the activities that are conducted in the institute other activities like Project School 2 School, CBS Nursery, making of Smokeless Fuel balls, these all are also successfully being operated and managed by the students of CBS. At CORE we make smokeless fuel balls, that does not mean that we are exploiting the TREES, we make these balls from papers which are of no use and simultaneously we are running a nursery. In that nursery we grow plants with the help of traditional techniques like grafting and sappling.
Making Institute Digital:- We work in completely digital environment, there is hardly any piece of paper that is partially utilized, and there is no paper that is used unnecessarily, all the study material is available online on ERP so that it remains available and accessible 24x7, 365 days. Even attendance in class is also marked digitally, which is available for every student to trace his attendance in lectures.
Campus life:- Living on campus gives students a chance to roll up their sleeves and get involved in a variety of activities and committees. These committees organize various events like Dandia Night, Halloween, Stress Buster programs (Adventure Trips), Quizzes, workshops, seminars and different sort of management games. To get attuned with the current scenario the institute consistently organizes guest lectures from various sector of corporate.
Masti Time:- With all academic and non-academic development activities we do have MASTI TIME, at CBS we celebrate each and every festival with lots of joy and fun. Be it HOLI or Janmashtmi, all the festivals make us feel that we are at a home away from home...

CONVOCATION....
Convocation for batch 2009-11 and 2010-12 is announced to be held on 14th April....
Atmosphere is hot and we a re working day and night for it...
Hoping the function will be a great success....
Riders Club...
A new addition to Core Business School...
currently Its managed by two students of batch 2011-13
The club has got more than 25 readers subscription on the first day and total collection was 6,300/- with which they were able to get around 40 novels for students...

Convocation Ceremony....
Hi all,
Today was the most awaited day for the students of two batches, class of 2011 & 2012, all the students were duly awarded with their diploma and marksheets and other medals according to their achievements during their academic sessions..
It was
Mr. Shanti Lal Pokharna
President- Corporate Commercial & Logistics
Raymond Ltd
who accepted to be Chief Guest for the ceremony and awarded the diplomas to the students...
All were excited but at the same time it was a moment of sorrow as they are now officially not connected with CORE...
We, the batch of 2011-13 as the organizers of the ceremony learnt many things from it and also we were able to meet the expectations of our faculty to some extent...
Hopefully the ceremony will gain its sheen and coming generations of CORE will be able to meet and even go beyond the expectations of faculty..

Things coming up very quickly...
we had Convocation on 14th April
than it was a sleepy sunday on 15th
after that
each day we had a presentation to deliver and that was related to our end term marks it ended today on Sunday only
and from tomorrow we have our end term lined up
and with all these we are also applying and appearing in interviews in various companies for Summer Internship....
Whole week has past but it looks that it was only couple of days, time is running out from hands and we'll be out from campus for internships in this week only....

Finally....
The day has come, today we (Batch 2011-13) complete our first year (3 back to back trimesters) in Core Business School, it was a mixed bag sort of experiences, the day we entered here was 8th August 2011, it was a bit late commencement of session with comparison to last two years of Institute but it started firmly and than grew and life started becoming more familiar with CBS,
day passed we all got some new close friends in campus than started the main journey,

Currently
Summer Internship for batch 2011-13 is the most burning topic of CBS and almost all of us one in hand but still few are remaining and that will be properly taken care off by Placement Cell a.k.a PLACECOM..
after all of this we can proudly say we are CORIANS...
A bread apart from others, we are following one simple quote
LEADERSHIP FOR LIFE...
and it shows, with all the experience gained/learned in CBS now we are ready to go into the professional life for a short period of time to know life style/ work load/ enjoying moments and other crucial elements of it but with the same passion and aim LEADERSHIP FOR LIFE...

Hi all,
Students for Batch-I for session 2012-14 have started to come from 11th and the batch will commence from tomorrow...
Hopefully 70-75% of the batch strength will reach by today evening...

i love core business school.Guest lectures gave us a touch of business ambiance,INDORE explore oo god really fond of it and the most amazing game i ever played Treasure hunt enjoyed a lot...hope this orientation go on n on n on...... :P
