#LeadershipDevelopment

BIMTECH organized Leadership Development Program (LDP) from 26th-30th November 2018 at MAYFAIR Hotels & Resorts, Puri, Odisha. It was attended by 31 Participants who were from NTPC LIMITED, NSPCL, NLCIL, RIL, Power grid, IFFCON and JSPL.

The Sessions were taken by Padam Shri Dr. Pritam Singh, Dr. Asha Bhandarker, Professor IMI Delhi, Dr. Parameswar Nayak, Dean Birla group of University, Prof. Sunil Sangra, Prof. Ashok Malhotra and Prof. Akhil Pandey, BIMTECH.

The participant had an Industrial visit to Milk Mantra company which is located in Konark.

There was a folk dance named Goti Pua which was organized for the participant's entertainment.

The sessions received very good feedback and participants had good learning.

In the wake of Noida yet to have its municipal corporation, on 17 December, 2018, BIMTECH organized a Roundtable of citizens and experts on 'Municipal Options for Noida Region'. The focus of the round table was to discuss the need of Municipal Corporation for Noida- Greater Noida Region.

The discussion session was moderated by Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, Director BIMTECH and led by DM of Gautam Budh Nagar Shri Brajesh Narain Singh, Noida MLA, Pankaj Singh. Keynote speakers on the occasion were Shri Om Prakash Divate, Thane Municipal Deputy Commissioner and Dr. KK Pandey, Professor, Urban Management Expert from IIPA, New Delhi. Shri Shravan Kumar Sharma, Former Commissioner Meerut and Agra Summarised the deliberations made during the three hour event.
The event saw a turn-around of about 50 dignitaries from various organization s- Government, Civil society, Constitutional Expert, Industry, Active Citizens, and Associations etc.

A three day comprehensive Management Development programme of professional insurance

surveyors got off to a flying start today at Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH)

,Greater Noida, NCR. The three day programme on Motor and Fire Insurance held together with

Indian Institute of Insurance Surveyors and Loss Assessors (IIISLA) is the first of its kind being held at

BIMTECH.

Over hundred surveyors from all over India are attending this residential programme .Veteran

surveyor, industry experts and seasoned members of faculty of BIMTECH have been together

conducting this MDP programme.

Prof(Dr.) Harivansh Chaturvedi ,Director ,BIMTECH expressed his happiness and felt that BIMTECH

has come a long way to establish itself as an ace institution of professional excellence.

The initiative to hold this MDP at BIMTECH was taken some time back, when a team of IIISLA

members led by Mr.Ashok Kumar , former President IIISLA and currently a member of the SLA –IT

committee ,IRDAI visited BIMTECH and held a meeting with Prof.Pratik Priyadarshi of BIMTECH.

Veteran surveyors like Mr.H.M.Walia, Mr.M.S.Sainani ,Mr.P.C.Shukla ,Mr.A.K.Sinha along with

BIMTECH faculty members Prof.(Dr.)Abhijit Chattoraj and Prof. Pratik Priyadarshi would engage

sessions in this three day programme.

Prof.(Dr,)Anupam Varma at his inaugural address, urged the professional surveyors to maintain their

independent identities so that it can instil confidence among the policy holders.

Mr.B.Shiva Prakash ,President ,IIISLA welcomed this initiative to hold MDP programme at BIMTECH

and hoped that this association would consolidate in days to come.

The second cohort of exchange students has arrived at BIMTECH. They are very happy to be here and make new friends. BIMTECH students gave them a warm welcome.

The exchange students are here for a trimester until April 2019. They attended the Orientation day and are very excited to start their academic learning. They are inspired by the videos “Cultural diversity of India ” and "Join India. Lead the World" and now fully understand the meaning of "Atithi Devo Bhava", Sanskrit for "Guests are like God".

BIMTECH organised the screening of “Chupchaap”- A film on unreported Rape cases

On 2nd January 2019, BIMTECH organized a short film screening of 'Chup Chaap' produced by Humaramovie.com which was based on unreported rape cases in our country.

“Chup chaap ho jaaata hai aur hokar guzar jaata hai” was the theme which the short film was based on. The director, Mr. Bilal Hasan as successful in bringing out the right emotions from his artists and giving out a valuable point of view on this heinous crime happening in our society.
Dignitaries from media and law had a healthy debate on how such issues should be dealt with in society and how we can bring an end or reduce it down to zero. The positive side of these issues is that the number is going low and media is full of support for the victims.

The event was graced by the presence of short films director Mr. Bilal Hassan, and lead played by Smt. Geeta Agarwal, along with High court lawyer Mr. Sudhir Mahajan, NDTV anchor Aditi Rajput and renowned theatre artist, Shubha Sharma.
