Avg Package A bit more than 4.5L

Companies that visited were Infy, HCL, Eicher, and many more as given in the prospectus.

is this the figure for this year??for 2006,the average salary as given in the prospectus is 4L.
so did it go down actually?

Actual the figure is 4.0 Lacs -2006 for the PGDBM course and a bit more than 4.5 Lacs -2007 for the PGDBM course. Also I am sure as I have seen the BIMTECH presentation and also inquired from the students there. My friend also pursues PGDBM @ BIMTECH.

i got pgdibm (i never fill this as an option in my admission form)course (general)can anyone tell me if their is any possibilty of getting promoted to pgdbm or mib (my option in the form )under any category nri/corporate sponsor.how they offer wait list .??if some seats are left vacant in these courses then they offer these to wait list candidates or to the people in other courses .

hi guys
i am noticing many queries regarding the placements of BIMTECH. well to inform u i am ur senior of PGDBM 2005-07 batch. About the PGDBM placements the data is like this:-
Max. package- 8 lacs( foreign placement)
7.25lacs( domestic placement)
Avg. package is close to 4 lacs
some of the major companies visiting campus are:- INFOSYS, HCL, SATYAM, WIPRO, DLF, LG, NEROLAC, AC NIELSON, IMRB, ICICI, RELIANCE, SBI, YAMAHA, RITU WEARS, RPG RETAIL etc.

hope this info serves some purpose

i happen to b another student who has made it to the PGDBM course at BIMTECH.....and it is pretty nice to see other people at the same stage as me.........now that this is a very crucial decision to take as to whether i should join here or not......i would be deeply thankful if a certain queries could be answered each of which is now to b thought of.......
if somebody could tell me....
i have read here that classes continue till 5....is that really true....
does the college allow students to leave 4 home during the weekend....if it is possible...
are there classes on saturdays also
what are the hostel rules like...as in what is the deadline to be inside the hostel.......
the prospectus says rooms will be alotted to all on the descretion of the faculty,is that how it happens....
are we allowed to keep our own means of accomodation as in a car....
i would be really grateful if someone could throw light on the above mentioned queries.............

well 1st a confession..i've been reading these posts 4 quite sometime...but never bothered 2 contribute...probably coz tooo lazy...but now tryin 2 rectify things...

as far as i can remember..i saw many students..oops..seniors using their own pvt vehicles (at least) just outside coll gate...so i guess v r allowd 2 bring our vehicles..but plz doble check
2 hostel
well i guess dey've got 2 allot hostels...as this is a residential prog...so dey'll allot u a room...but if d q is whether u'll have a say in vich room is alloted or vich particular room-mates u wana keep (say..u already have some frnds.etc.)..then i guess dey probably wont entertain such reqests...but u never know..

well as mentioned ..read d above posts...but leme tell u d topics vr mostly easy..at least v in bbay had easy/moderate topics..
mine was "Is India a Value based mkt or High-end mkt" somethin of this sort..
