The Day That Really Made Me Go Oooooo La La La La!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, we belong to the 2011-13 batch of JKSHIM, NITTE and finally thought of starting a thread here to share our experience with you all.
I never ever thought that life would surprise me to such an extent. I had this terrific experience for the first time ever in my life that I would like to share with each one of you.
It was 19th SEPTEMBER, 2011, perhaps the most important day of my life which would have either made it or would have simply marred it. I had to go through a rigorous PGCET counseling procedure, in order to get an entry into a B-school for MBA. I was confident; I was excited and was pretty sure that I would get a seat in the institute (JKSHIM)I aimed for. But as the famous saying goes, LIFE IS NOT A BED OF ROSES, I too had to go through a lot of hardships, pressure and trauma to get what I wanted.
Standing in a queue of 1000s, (amongst which 3/4th nearly being animals), without a drop of water in my body, for nearly 5 hours, what better expression can be given except that of ROYALTORTURE! But I wanted something, so there was no way I would have grumbled.
The first day of college, what can I say beautiful lush green surroundings, perfect weather and the seniors at the entrance!! As a part of the usual ritual we had to go through an induction programme where our seniors almost sent our hearts racing to an unimaginable speed, but in the end it all ended up in laughter. It was a good way to know about them and interact with them. Though it was an interesting way of getting to know them, I would always remember it as the unforgettable day in JKSHIM.
JKSHIM is a unique world mixed with fun, stress, competition, energy, passion and satisfaction. This institute has taught me to chase my passion and has given me the strength to cope up with immense stress with a broad smile on my face.

One more week for our second semester finals!! Definately excited about the holidays , but the studyng part is going to be really hard
Anyways that's an unavoidable choice so here we are rolling up our sleeves and preparing for the ultimate war.

Guess what, on 30th of last month we had the inauguration of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) programme "Microsoft Dynamics" for our batch. We had Mr. K.T Prasad, General Manager Microsoft Dynamics Business, Hewlett Packard as the guest, the way he spoke was really awesome, he made us know how essential is ERP and how it can be taken up as a career. We all are looking forward for the training programme spread over the next 2 semesters, but we need to sacrifice our sundays for that 😞 a good deal, don't you think so???

one more day to go!!exam fever is already setting in!!
luckily we finished our second internals a week before our study holidays, and that really helped because now we only have to concentrate on the untouched portions.. considering the attention span of students i just hope we remember what we studied!!

Is hostel food really that bad? or are we just tired of eating the same food, and hence all the complaining?..
I initially felt that the food in my hostel was good. i really liked it and hardly complained. We are given non veg thrice in a week, ice creams, snacks, name it and we have it.They even give tea for the night during exams!!
But after a couple of months i was on the top of the list of complaint boxes.
this got me thinking...can we students ever be satisfied or content with hostel food?!

2 more exams to go and we are done with 2nd semester!!! 😁 but the happy news ends there as the Corporate Exposure Learning (CEL) for 1 month starts on 25th June 😞

Hello everyone,
Second semester ends and corporate exposure begins!! We started our training today, it was interesting and at the same time scary;unknown atmosphere and surroundings can really get on your nerves!!
Missing my friends and just hope everyones suffering the way i am

The admissions have started in our institution and we are waiting for our juniors. Hope they are as energetic and awesome as we are :p. On a serious note we are really looking forward to meet them and join hands.

Apart from this our industrial tour begins on August and trust me, everyones waiting for it! We have been divided into 6 groups and the destinations are Mumbai, Coimbatore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Malaysia. Its definately going to rock

two days of internship just passed by, no work as of now but i am really waiting for an opportunity to learn.
Spoke to my friends recently and turns out that most of us have got into good companys like kmf, ksdl, apollo, volve, schneider, le meridian, continental etc.
It also turns out that most of are in Bangalore so we are all planning to meet up and have a blast!!.. like a re union of jkshim family

hey, you got the companies by yourself?

OMG! No holidays na!! sad 😞 but I guess its fun hanging out with friends in Bangalore and places like that... 😁

hey,
Yes most of us got the company's by ourselves. For those who couldn't manage, the lecturers lent a hand. 180 students and over that only two in each company, so some of them were in a tight spot
:)

hey Srikanth:)
most of us got the company's by ourselves. For those who couldn't, the lecturers stepped in and helped out. 180 students and only two in a company was the criteria and because of that most of the students were left in a tight spot.
No holidays, yea i know we were heart broken 😞 but then again most of us are workin in Bangalore right now and its like a whole new re union in a different place:).. Everyones catching up on each others lives and for most of them Bangalore is a first time.
All of this adds up to a great experience and by the end of one month we all end up with great exposure and experience which we wouldnt have got otherwise.
But to be very honest a tiny part of my mind wants to scream out and say " GIVE ME BACK MY HOLIDAYYYYSSSSSSS!!!!".
you see by the end of the day we are all kids at heart so wouldn't we all crib for holidays??:P

Our seniors had their convocation yesterday and looking at the pics i can clearly say that they had a blast!! It felt good to see the happiness on their faces and their parents were all puffed up with pride :)
Most of them have cleared with distinction and have also been placed in good company's.
Good going seniors!!! and all the best for their future

our results got out today n it looks good!!!super excited!!
was really scared about two papers, but luckily i never have to look at them again;)
our college re opens on the 23rd of this month and i just cant wait to meet everyone again

Hey, i heard convocation was awesome, Mr K.V. Kamath Non-Executive Chairman of ICICI Bank was there. All the parents of our seniors were there, and it was fun. :)

GOOD GOING!!! Congratulations... πŸ˜ƒ What specialization are you planning to take up next sem???

Missing the classes!! even if they were boring i seriously miss the fun during classes.. 😞

yes the convocation went really well srikanth. everyones parents had come and the students got pretty emotional :)

It was definitely an honor to have Mr K V Kamath of ICICI Bank as the chief guest. Infact most of our seniors are recruited in ICICI bank. so it was a nice experience for them to meet him before joining.

I am planning to specialize in marketing and really looking forward to it.

Let me tell you a little secret... I bet marketing class is going to rock this year :)yeeayyii!

jokes apart... every specialization is going to rock this year!!
