The Annual Sports Meet was held at Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi on 18th January, 2013. Sports play a major role in AIM's culture because it teaches students many skills and values like : the importance of teamwork, the value of hard work and practice, the thrill of victory, and how to cope with defeat. These values play an important role in achieving goals in work, academia, and personal relationships.Keeping in mind the same, Asia Pacific Institute of Management, organized its Annual Sports Meet, at its campus & at Netaji Subhash Sports Complex, Jasola, Delhi.

The young sportsmen participated and displayed their talent and enthusiasm in various outdoor games like Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Badminton, Tug-of-War, etc and Indoor Games like Chess, Carom, Table Tennis, Arm-Wrestling, etc. While addressing the students at the Inauguration ceremony, Dr. D. K. Batra, (Director AIM) said, “Students are busy in the learning process with Books, Lectures, Labs etc, but extra curricular activities especially Sports are also necessary to keep them
fresh and fit.”

The Dean(Academics), Dr. Chetan Bajaj, also congratulated students on being so enthusiastic about the various sports, along with their studies. The Sports Coordinators Prof. Ravinder Bhatia, Ms. Charu Bharti & Dr. R Ganesan, also taught the students that “The spirit of sportsmanship is necessary, without thinking of success or failure”.

What can I say about Asia Pacific? My time was packed full of essay deadlines to meet, friends to see and everything in between. Each student’s time at APIM is different and special in its own way – everyone finds their own hobbies and passions!

Counsellors are there to ensure that the student experience is as fulfilling as possible and that you have access to the resources and information needed to make the most of your time here. As officers elected by you, we represent your interests on committees, offer essential professional services, and provide welfare support and training.

Students are always welcome to pop into the APIM offices for a chat with the Admissions Officer Team – tell us how you want to shape the University and we’ll help you to do it.

The APIM Team wishes you all the best in your application.
