Hello,

I currently pursue a liberal arts UG programme, BA in English Literature.

Only lately did I realize that my interest lies in the domain of Management, especially finance.

Is a transition from Liberal Arts to Finance possible?

My concerns are that,

1) I lack a Business/Engineering/Economics UG, is that gonna hurt my candidature at Bschools and be shunned by recruiters?

2) Can an above average school-level math student take on the rigor of MBA Finance's Maths?

3) Your opinion on Amity's Online Diploma in Business Management and Wharton's series of MBA Foundational MOOCs offered via Coursera, can either of the two act as a bridging course betwen my Liberal Arts UG and desired MBA PG? What do you suggest, Amity's Online Diploma or Wharton's MOOC(Taken as paid and verified)?

If you'd like to have a look at these MOOCs, their links are as follows,

https://www.coursera.org/course/accounting

https://www.coursera.org/course/finance

https://www.coursera.org/course/operations

https://www.coursera.org/course/marketing

How is the recognition for such MOOCs in India? Bschools and Recruiters opinion? Anyways MOOCs are fairly new, they've come up only in 2012 or so.. will a paid and verified MOOC such as the above portray me as a serious candidate?

4)How about Claritas Investment Certificate? Will having that in resume help in Bschool admission and employment in Financial services domain?

If you know anything that you think I should get to know of, please feel free to share it with me through posts or personal messages...

I'm in such a dilemma please do direct me if you could.

Much of thanks!
