Myself Manas staying in Delhi basically from Kolkata. Starting a new thread for all those who got unconditional offer from LUBS for full time MBA - Sep'12 intake.
Last year's thread was not moving, hence, I thought to start a new thread.

Last year, I got unconditional offer from LUBS but then deferred to this year.

Almost decided that I will be joining this year irrespective of the UK scenarios, Post MBA job prospects, changes in visa rules and knowing that LUBS was not ranked by FT Top 100 Global MBA.

Guys,let us make this thread effective so that people who are joining this year can interact and know each other before landing there.

If you guys have any questions you are welcome to ask me as I have already done a bit of research for UK B-schools since 2010 and few of my friends have joined there in 2010 as well as in 2011.

Would be of great help if any current batch student can share their experience and feedbacks since the 2011 batch will be the 1st batch that will see the implementation of the new student visa rules i.e. scrapping PSW.

Last year I had received many offers from Tier 2 B-schools in UK including LUBS. But I deferred. But this year I only applied to LUBS and got unconditional offer.

Ya almost decided to join knowing and assessing the pros n cons. But last year I found the thread was moving unlike this year.

It would be of great help if the the current student can put their feedbacks since their batch will be the 1st one to graduate post new PSW visa rule change.

So kinda confused.. 😃

Hi Chang,

It also depends on the kind of work experience u are having. Normally International students are required to take GMAT irrespective of the no. of years of job experience.

However, for British nationals, GMAT is waived off since they have substantial years of job experience ,say, 10 yrs or more.

Dear Chang

Manas is correct. But if u have a good profile with good academics,good work experience and letters of recommendations, they might not ask for GMAT.It also depends on the pool of applications received. When did you apply Chang.

Also has anyone received a scholarship.?

Hi Chang,

To my understanding, they will ask GMAT from u since your no. of years of job experience is not substantial. Normally most of the B-schools in UK ask for a balanced GMAT score of 600 and most importantly they look for ur overall profile. GMAT is just one of the criteria to assess the candidate's suitability to the programme. Last yr I knw that all the British nationals wr without GMAT score and few Indian with more than 10+ yrs of job ex. wr waived off from GMAT.

Can someone guide me on Leeds' MA advertising and Marketing course. I can not apply for MBA due to lack of experience plus I am more keen on doing a specialization.
