I think I am the first one to post my experience.
I had my process today at Bangalore; the reporting time was 8.30 AM
We were ushured to a seminar room at around 8.45 AM, a presentation was then given to us on KJ Somaiya. Then we were asked to write an essay on one of the two topics:
Bollywood movies have put India on the world map
OR
What changes in education system would help emplyers.
We were given 15 minutes to write; and then the sheets were taken. After this a faculty member announced the groups of 14 each, and then we were asked to move to separate GD room.
We were given a caselet to discuss; the time to think was 2 minutes and then we had to discuss for 12 minutes. After the discussion each one was given 30 seconds to conclude.
The caselet was about farmers giving land to Govt for SEZ, and its Relief and Rehabilitation policy. We had to discuss as a Social Welfare officer about the policy and what more can be added to it.
It was a good discussion.
After that we were all asked to wait outside for the PIs. One by one they called us for PIs. I was 7th in my Group; on an average an interview ranged from 7-9 minutes. My Interview panel had a female faculty and a male faculty:
F: So you from Alwar?
Me: No; I am from Lucknow; my family moved to Alwar recently.
F: Tell me about your work-ex?
Me: Blah Blah...
M: Why do you want to do MBA, why not MTech or MS?
Me: After joining work; I realised that I would not prefer Computer Science studies rather would prefer MBA which could ready me for a consulting role.
F: Tell me in what direction is Lucknow from Delhi?
Me:
M: So you like to read?
Me: Yes Sir
M: What kind of reading?
Me: Varied but like science fiction most.
M: You know Carl Sagan?
Me: Yes, I read his Cosmos years ago.
M: Tell me whats a black hole.
Me: Told about its gravity; field of time-space physics etc...I said i like more earthly science(used the wrong word; wanted to say about things of technology)
M: Tell me about tecktonic plates!!
Me: Sir, I was referring to technology there; anyways plates talk about earth's surface which isnt uniform. Any shift in these causes earthquakes.
F: You like to travel? Tell me where you have traveled.
Me: Blah Blah...
Then they asked me to go. The whole process took no more than 3 hours.

ok, here's my experience:
1st , a seminar on KJS. not too long. after that , essay (WTC) for 15 min. we had to choose from two topics-
a. should surrogate advertising be banned? b. river linking (something about that , dont remember the exact wordings, sorry!)
self wrote on the first topic.
3rd, case study GD. about this guy who is a graduation faill, working in a BPO. wife gold-medalist MBA types. gets placed with a salary offer double his. man starts suffering from heavy inferiority complex. marriage dirfts to divorce. what would u do/ suggest as a friend and well-wisher to help em.
(NOT AT ALL business & economy based, clearly.)
our GD was reasonably good. all orally summarised the topic for 30sec each at the end. but the adjoining GD was a fish market. guess its all your luck.
4th PI was ok, at least i did not make a fool of myself. thats all i can give myself credit for. no acad, no technical. some people got asked questions based on their job, chioce of specialisation, GD etc.
that should be it. non-stress, not difficult.

had my GD/PI yesterday at banalore. here are my experiences...
reached the place by 8 in the morning. at 8:30 we were asked to go to a seminar room. there was a presentation abt the institude from one of the faculty members. meanwhile a sheet was circulated to check whether our names are there in the list and mark our attendance. after that a sheet was given for written communication test. we had to select from two topics. the topics were
a. should surrogate advertisement be banned
b. linking of major rivers is the need of the time
i wrote on 2nd topic. after that we were asked to move to different rooms based on our groups.
there were 2 panelists for GD. division of marks for GD was mentioned in the attendance sheet circulated. GD was based on a case. case was...whould west meet the east? there were some examples on western celebrities following yoga, vegeterianism and examples were given on indians following western culture and eating pizzas, burgers etc...
GD was like a fish market. i made my entry 3-4 times. after that there was another panel for interview. there were 2 people.
P1: old guy with specs
P2: young guy...(probably alumni)
M: ME
M: Good morning sir..
P1 & P2: asked me to sit on the chair...
P2: tell me something abt ur place...
M: blah...blah...
P2: why do u want to do MBA?
M: blah...blah...
P1 & P2: all those things can be done without an MBA also? then y do u want to do?
M: blah...blah...
P2: ok then y did u choose finance?
M: again gave all the gyan...blah...blah...
P2: so u think that will not be there in other specialisations? are they not worth of studying...
M: justified...
P2: wat is ur specialisation in engg.?
M: chemical engg..
P2: where r u working?
M: told....
P2: can u expand ur company name?
M: told him....
P2: u r a chemical engg... and still working for a s/w company?
M: again answered wat all i know...
P2: how confident r u?
M: do u want me to rate me on a scale of 10?
P2: ya
M: gave some rating.
P2: how was ur GD? rate on a scale of 10.
M: gave some rating.
P2: y?
M: told him that nobody was ready to listen to me...
P2: then u r not a convincing person.....??
M: justified that i am convincing....
P2: wat other B-Schools did u apply?
M: answered...
P2: wat if u dont get a seat this year?
M: told him that i will try next year.
P2: ok...anything that u wud like to ask....
M: asked him one question...
p2: he explained me....
Results will be announced on 2nd april. this was told during the presentation abt the college.

hey ankur.. sailesh here.. number 10 in the pi.. still dont remember me?? i asked u abt ICICI in the nearby area.. think u can recognize me..
we must b glad that our gd batch was cool.. not a fishmarket..
all the dtails abt gd gvn by ankur remains the same for me too.. coz, both in same batch..
on PI, went for 10 mins for me.. the mam who questioned was really friendly.. asked me so much abt my workplace and quality implications.. went cool.. then, there was another gentleman who asked me abt F! racing as i wrote it as my hobby.. bt very simple on dat.. like whos the current F! champ, wat do u thnk of Schumi etc..
bt, never know what they expected.. keeping fingers crossed and atb to others..

Just finished my kj simsr process. it ws good.v had to write an essay on a topic , one ws whether surrogate ads shld be banned ... T2 is the river linking project the hour of the need??? then there ws a case study .. gd went off well.. n then interview.. which was also good.. they pressed on my proj as that ws my achievement , n of course they asked me to substantiate my strengths with incidents.. after some of us were asked to wait , rest cld go.. I had to then meet their director , that ws just a conversation abt family bckgnd , then other calls , my priority among the calls i got etc.. all in all i thnk i did ok. hope the above will help other call getters.. cheers guys all d best

have they included that frm the second day?? nw will that act against us those who didnt have it on saturday?? someone frm 24th Feb pls reply.. this is creating panic now..

I'm sorry if i strted a panic. in my batch of 13 , 3 of us ( me included ) were asked to wait after the pi ws over , then one member of the panel took us to the director n v met him.. there were 3 other panels as well , even in those select candidates were asked to meet the director after the pi. at the director's place it ws no more than 5 mts. i've already mentioned wat he asked

Profs started with the presentation about the college for 15 min
then a written test of 15 min
topics 1> Disinvestment : a need or a compulsion?
2> IS politics is a family run businesss.
I wrote on the first one
We were divided into batches and moved to a classroom 16 guy/gals seated in a circle
GD was a case study: Amit is a talented performer but due to some problems he is not able to perform well
1. his child is spastic, an outsider was promoted in his place and to top it all a mild flirtation with a lady colleague was blown into a sex scandal.
was given 15 min to discuss and 30 sec to sum it up. the GD was a good discussion ..no fish market .everybody was contributing valid points.

TWO gentleman
started with my home town jharkhand and my college BIT sindri ..asked me what is sindri famous for
i said fertilizers. whydid fci closed down .? blah
.name any two privated fertilizers companies? in a hurry i said reliance they started laughing:)
IMP POINT : They were in a hurry to ask questions ..sometimes the questions overlapped and i was in afix as to what to answer...hope that was trick to confuse me..saw it number of times ...Before i could finish the answer he popped with one more .
for example: P1 which book did u read recently> i : alchemist
what is the gist of alchemist ..as i started to say the answer ,hardly i had finished the second gentleman asked me about my summer training at SAIL ...lot of cross questioning
One of the good questions i want to share here
in my strengths i had written 1.focussed towards goals and 2 .team player
QS: these two qualities contradict each other : a team player cannot be a focussed person ? Had a hard time convincing the panel
All of the questions were very general in nature ..but lot of cross questioning was done
Prepare ur profile Well . thats all .no tech questions

hey ashpreet, congrats!
SCMHRD is the obvious choice.
but if u DO have a call from TAPMI etc., u should probably attend them. depends on the other calls u have based on CAT score.
plzzz do mention abt documentation....whr to submit ....whn to submit.....n watt to submit???? watt if neone forget some doc??? i kno its mentioned on site but if there is imp to be known by us .......it wud be gr8 help!!!
where they come to kno abt our hobbies??? do we hv to fill another form over there??

i had my gd/pi on 25th feb. they didn't ask for any documentation except for the student profile form and work experience certificates(if applicable). The officials present at the venue said that they would verify our certificates during our admission to the institute, once we get thru the gd/pi. The topics for wct were something like, "is the stock market boom phoney" and "should foreign universities be allowed in india". GD: 3 mins to study the case, 12 to discuss and 30 sec to simmarise.There were 15 people in our grp. No technical questions in PI. Most of the questions were asked on the basis of what i had written in my Student Profile form and questions relating to the college i had done my B.Tech from. Then another short interview with the director , nothing much, just asked why K.J somaiya why not icfai(i did my b.tech frm icfai)??
no tech questions in PI. only case studies in gd.

GD:Case study abt a over-worked,stressed Employee Deepak who was abt to be promoted but his boss comes to know abt his heart problems thru a medical check up at office..If u were the boss what wud you do and why ..?
14 ppl..had a decent discussion ..then everybody got a chance
to summarise for 30 s...satisfied with my performance
PI:nothing gr8 except i was grilled on my choice of specialisation..which every1 has to mark in the form ...so be prepared to justify it...Also,officialy there was just 1 round of interview but there were 2 guys (1 guy +1 gal ) in my group who were asked to meet with some director after their interview was over who was inturn grilling them on various issues...We had a feeling that only those guys were through
