ISB 2017 Aspirants

Hi guys. a little complicated scenario here and i'm being optimistic and preparing for the interview anyway. but would be good to hear back if my chances are realistic. quick summary below.

status : re-applicant (applied in 2013)

work ex : 4 years 8 months now

change in profile : moved to China after last application (2 years now) and have been working for the Chinese counter part of the Indian company i was working at before. Job profile grew from back end Analyst to Associate Manager in the client consulting team in China. + have 1 personal + 1 profession distinct achievement since the last profile.

Gmat score : 620 (same as before and that's on 3rd attempt)

so you see, my gmat score is not upto the mark, so i'm backing on my experience abroad and the way i've showed it in my essays.

realistic to expect a call?

How much time does one get to prepare for an interview?

Hi! How will I know whether ISB has received my official score or not? I received a mail from GMAC on 4th of Dec that my score will be sent to the institute in 3 weeks.. However, I did not receive any confirmation.

Have 12 years of experience and an International canidate(NRI) . Do you guys know how many are there with that experience in current batch and what others think about people attending PGP@ISB  with that experience.

Very Very urgent. My evaluator had been approved and sent a mail containing the link. However he had a car crash and was bed ridden and since his phone and laptop etc got broken, he lost the mail containing the link somehow. And now he isnt able to post the evaluation. Please I need urgent help on what do do now since the deadline is in an hour.

Is the YLP open for final year students as well this year?

hey anyone has an idea what are the tentative dates isb delhi interviews for round 2 ? i am concerned since i have got calls from a few us b schools and they r interested in a face 2 face interview in delhi in the 2nd week of feb.. i dont want to be in a situation where in case i get a call from isb, my isb interview and and my interview at us b-schools end up up being arnd the same time...

Hi,

I'm concerned about my experience credentials.

I have 2years of corporate exp and more than 4 years of experience in family business, as of today. Is it considered as valid experience proof while applying in B Schools? How does it stand against corporate experience?

Calling all r2 candidates with less than 650.. just wanted to connect with yll coz i'm on the same boat..

Myself 640 .. 5 years 9 months work ex in EPCC Oil & Gas Projects

Hi Guys, I had my interview just 10 minutes ago. I am an international rolling candidate with 12 years of exp.  Main focus of interview was what if my Plan A does not work, do I have a Plan B after doing MBA. any more question then bring it on. This was a skype interview with no Alum or current student. Only 2 peope including Rupesh

Could some1 help with where is the excel sheet for R2 applicants...The sheet where everyones profile summary is mentioned

I haven't received any confirmation about my application completion though have got an email that online evaluation has been received.

have u guys received the application completion email for R2 ?

hey i have a gmat score of 730 and 2 years 9 months work ex in IT... applied in round 2.  academics r weak with just 60% in b.tech from jaypee noida... but a lot of co-curricular.... marathon, social service with, toastmasters n all..can i expect a call? or will low acads and work- ex + IT profile sink my ship?

Not sure the best place to post, but just wondering if any aspirant here is applying for Great Lakes, SP Jain Global, NUS, NTU or any other Asian universities. Won't mind connecting to discuss the pros and cons of the same.

Anyone can PM me if want to discuss about it.

Guys m absolutely new in this GMAT thing. Planning to give gmat this march. Can u temme when would the round 1 for next session start?? Any help would do a lot of good to me. Thanks

What is the right time to start preparing for ISB R2 Interview?

1. Most of the candidates start preparing after they get an interview invite. This is the norm and the strategy may work for some (natural communicators) and might not work for some (those who need practice to achieve finesse). Evaluate your standing and accordingly take a call if you need to start preparing early or later.

2. Some candidates (although a very few) know that they would get an interview call with a good probability. We recommend they should start preparing for an interview in a week after submitting their application. Any (extra) amount of practice for an interview will never harm.

So earlier you start is always better. In case you have time now, go through past ISB interview experiences posted by R1 candidates here on pagalguy and on the web. Find out past ISB interview questions and involve your friends/relatives for mock interview practice.

All the best.

I just realized that in my final upload, the scanned docs are disorderly. Some  of the scans are upright on the A4 and some of them aligned in counter clockwise direction. Will the adcom see this in negative light? as in some sort of unprofessional attitude.

Hi Aspirants. I am working in ICICI Bank as a Relationship Manager for 1 year and 2 mnths. Looking after International trade, FDI, ODI and Corporate Relationship. I have dream to join ISB 2017 Batch but have not given any competitive xams like cat or gmat earlier. Can anyone please guide me how to start, where to focus, study material. I am in delhi. Can someone guide me abt coaching and anyother feedback which might be important.

Hi everyone,

I'll apply to ISB in the first cycle for next year's batch. I applied last year and got an interview call. I was eventually rejected.

Here's a snapshot of my profile:

Work Experience (55 months as of today):

EY, Advisory Services, 50 months

Co-founder, Gabblin (A social networking platform), 5 months

I might just start working on another startup soon.

Now here comes the tricky part, I have two GMAT scores:

700 (IR 3), 710 (IR 1)

I got a call from ISB last year with 700 (IR 3), but I'm not sure how safe this will be for the next session. I understand that 710 is generally a safe score, but my IR score is abysmally low (1).

Please advise as I need to plan the entire thing out as soon as possible. Looking for replies from both experts and present students!
