so it seems i made a stupid mistake in my application. but i got interview invite. How much is the mistake gonna matte ?
i left my 10th and 12th percentages in education details as 40. The marksheets i have attached say the true number , 90+ in both classses.
i have a pretty strong profile with elite college degree, work ex in a top company for over 3 years, own startup on the side and all...
question is , how much is this silly mistake gonna affect my interview ?
hi puys...i had given mumbai as my interview location, but it seems i have not been shortlisted as no email yet...so how can I get my profile evaluated so that I can know my shortcomings and work on those while applying next year. Also, will we get a reject email from ISB?

P1: So you were a rifle shooter, tell me about it?
Me: Gave all the gyan on rifle shooting.
P1: So what are you good at?
Me: Numbers
P1: Guess the number of rifles in India.
Me: Gave some estimates answer (Kinda screwed this one)
P1: What else are you good at?
And I couldn't think of anything (Got caught completely off guard). 😞
P1: So what are your plans post ISB?
Me: Working with a manufacturing firm for 4-5years and then starting a business
of my own.
P1: You are going in a wrong direction. You should be going towards computers,
there is a huge scope there (I had mentioned I had two job offers - Dell and
Mitsubishi). You should have taken up the Dell (IT) job.
Me: Justified why I am not so keen on having a career in IT and core is
something I am really interested in am passionate about.
P1: So what is passion?
Me: Something you would be more than happy doing everyday.
P1: Tell me about the competition you won (Had won a national level
aeromodeling competition)
Me: Told all about it.
P2: So you mentioned in your essay that you were a team leader. What did you
do.
Me: Explained everything.
P2: Tell us about your job?
Me: Told everything.
P2: What have you done in your job till now that you received commendation from
your boss.
Me: Explained some initiatives that I have taken. P2 then asked me about one
initiative, asked how exactly am I doing it. I then told her that I studied
econometrics in college and I am using to concepts I learnt there to my job.
P1: So who all are your competitors? (In elevator industry)
Me: Told
P1: A lot of tricky questions.
Me: Tried to answer whatever I could with whatever I knew.
P1: What is your market share?
Me: Sorry sir, don't know.
P1: I haven't seen a Mitsubishi elevator.
Me: Sir, there are 6 of them in ISB campus.
P1: Sorry, I never noticed
P1: Some questions for us?
Me: Asked 3 questions and got precise answers.
Shook hands and left.
All in all it was a sort of stress interview. They tried to confuse me a lot. Could have done better. I don't have very high hopes as of now. All fingers crossed.
People who have already given their interviews..can you guys tell a little about about your panel.. Mine is panel 8 but I read somewhere it may change on D day.. so any input is appreciated.
Hey guys! Want to know if anyone, who gave Hyderabad as their interview location got an invite for interview? I wrote to admissions office and I got this reply. Thank you for writing in. We have sent out all the interview calls for PGP 2016-17 Email to all the applicants will be sent on March 05th I have not seen any person from Hyderabad getting an invite yet. Curious!!!

Hi! Could someone talk about the documents we need to carry for the interview ? Also what exactly is the process before the interview starts ? Have my interview tomorrow at 10.45!
I did apply this year and did not make the cut... My profile is as follows:- 10th - 93%; 12th- 88.33% ; UG( B.E in Electronics and Communication ) - 79.4% aggregate. Work experience - Currently 32 months in a reputed Telecom Equipment Manufacturing company. Extra curriculars - Currently the Alumni representative of my college for Electronics branch. Awards:- 1. Awarded for securing a centum in Engineering Maths in 4th sem. 2. Awarded by head of my technology centre for organizing the Innovation day program. 3. Excellence award for my contribution to small cells project. I wrote GMAT twice and was able to get 590 on my first attempt and 610 on my 2nd attempt. I know that this has to be improved. But could any of you suggest how I could improve other aspects of my profile to be get into ISB next year atleast? Thanks in advance.
That ends the process for me this year. I was told yesterday that the interview calls for all locations were out. Was hoping for a technical glitch coz of which the mails did not delivered 😛 . But that's over now. Disappointed that I got called to the interview last year and this year, with a better profile and more clarity of thought, couldn't get through to the interview phase. Lots of things to work on starting with GMAT. For the ones admitted- good luck for the most wonderful and charming year of your life.
