I am a commerce grad with 6 yrs of workex in Banking. Since a sabbatical isn't an option and my job doesn't allow me time to prepare, I plan to resign and prepare for the GMAT and apply to B schools. I've been told this isn't a good idea.
I am passionate about travel and plan to do a 2 month travel before my MBA commence. An orthopaedic issue requires me to rest and work on my fitness to be able to take the tour. My tour includes volunteering for various NGOs. After resigning, I plan to volunteer at NGOs in my city. Would these reasons be accepted/considered by adcoms if articulated/substantiated?
