As far as course is concerned, there is no big difference from other B-Schools apart from having some pecularities like-:
i) U will have courses on Rural Livelihoods, society, cooperatives etc.
ii) Unlike other B-Schools u will not get any mktg, finance specialization, it will be in rural mgt.
iii)U will have 6 months training devided into 3 segments out of which 2-4 months would be in some village....
As far as work profile is concerned...there is a mix....but mostly it's in rural mktg if u r placed in corporate or cooperative sector...and if u r in NGO...it could be from market research to project coordination.....some of the IRMANS working in microfinance are even responsible for developing organization from scratch in different zones...I will request my snrs to reply ur query in more detailed manner regarding placements......

yaar I never prepared for GK...but there are ppl who prepared it from csr, manorama year book etc...
but my take on this is different...I think the GK asked in IRMA can be answered 50% by common sense only..instead concentrate on other section....but buddy final decision is urs..
i am 1st yr irma student so probably icld help...........
