Dear friends ,
My name is ankur i am from agra wish to join coaching for cat 2013 having work experience of 2.7 years now resigned from job i went to career launcher as well time also and now a bit confused which one i should have to join becoz ultimately we only have to study acquiring a little help from faculty my basics are very very poor had to start from ground level pls suggest which one i should join career launcher or time whose study material is good enough starting from ground level till the cat level.Guys pls help me in this poor mingled situation.

I am Ashwin from Mumbai.A 2011 engineering passout.I am currently working in an IT Co. in Bangalore for past 1.5 yrs. I was an average kid during my academic years.No awards,no extra currics,nothing.
Like everybody else,I also dreamt of becoming some bigshot in life.Really confused about what to do in my life,I decided to give CAT 2012.Scored a decent percentile.In the interviews, the common question asked by everyone to me was 'Why MBA'?Spoke a well framed answer about my dreams n all,why would MBA help me etc etc.But then, after a similar interview,I really gave a thought as to Do I really need an MBA?Am i really interested in it?I din't have an answer to that.I have now converted a few Tier 2 colleges,but won't be joining them.I have now started working on my own business plan,to do something I love to do.
I joined PG today itself,and saw many puys asking questions like which one is better,Finance or marketing or HR.Which one pays well..My advice to them:Please don't do an MBA just for fat packages or for a status symbol.Find what you are interested in.Ask yourself 'Why MBA'.Have a frank interview with yourself.Some years down the line,I want to see myself happy,though wounded with failures.
Puys,don't misunderstand me that I am against MBA.Its just that in many forums I saw some confused puys.

My name is Karthik. I'm from Hyderabad, will be passing out this year ......I got placed in TCS and also in Teach for India (NGO).....I heard that CAT requires 1) two years preparation and some say 2) a solid three month prep is enough....
If 1 is true I will join teach for India and if 2 is true , I will join TCS.....
Plzz help me....srsly confused which one to choose....

Need your inputs as to what kind of percentiles are required for Top 10 B-schools? Also, is being a non-engineer an added advantage?
