Introduce Yourself - II

Happy Holi puys!! Enjoy

Hi Guys

I am a MBA currently working with MNC (food company) in Mumbai with total 3 years of experience in companies like HCL, Reliance and General Mills.My profile:

Graduation (BSc.), St. Stephens College: 71%

MBA from IMS, Indore: 8.54 CGPA

However I have been considering doing an MBA from a global institute to get the desired jump in carreer and salary :)

I have just started preparing for GMAT 2013 (targetting June 2013 for it). Please suggest me the route to take....also what do u think about a second MBA??

@pagalguy Hi My name is Deepak
I have completed my B.Tech in Computer Science in 2011,now i'm working as a Network Engineer in one of the private firm,i have qualified BOB as a PO in 2013 CWE ,now waiting forward for the joining date.i want to do MBA in finance after getting some experience in bank as i want to excel in private sector.

hi iam banani..cse 2012 passout...got admission in christ and also selected for icici po programme...now iam confused....my plan is 2 go for po but to break the bond in 3 years to join any top 10 mba college..(total 5 year bond) now i want genuine advice..should i do this or i should go with christ????

I would suggest you to not go for ICICI(No personal grudges against ICICI :-);-)) but what I have heard from other members that work pressure is on a higher side there and you won't get much time to study.:-)
Also there is a bond of 5 years and around 3-4 lakhs which can become a hurdle if you will get any good opportunity in between.
Though I don't have much idea about the christ college.But, as per me Drop both and prepare for some good colleges in the next season.

How much is the bond amount? Is it going to reduce as time progresses ?

3.37 lakh they will give me post graduate diploma in banking and finance.then 3 trimester mba which is optional.60 EMI with 2.5%interest but if i break i willhave to give the interest @15%

See the bond amount is huge and its impact if you leave in between (15% of 3.37lakhs..its huge amount).
also I heard that the Diploma or MBA don't have much value in the market .
@deepak1139 thanks a lot 4 ur advice!

See, even if there is a bond of 5 years, you'll have ample opportunity to settle yourself in your career. That's a positive side. Plus they are equipping you with a degree. That's another positive side. You can always take the MBA route after 5 years. Think about it and take an informed decision.

You can always prepare simultaneously while you are working. It would definitely add to your profile. Join a coaching preferably the weekend classes.
@bhaduriarchit thanks........
bt there is another problem as I'm pursuing my final semester from mechanical engineering and I didn't get any job till now bcoz no placement occurred in my college this year, so again a problem of getting a job(off campus) just after graduation as many gud companies didn't recruit mechanicals they either want EC,CS or IT .....so there is no option left other than coaching.

You are still in your final year right? And i expect that you would still have around 2 months left before your graduation is complete. Add up 2 more months to it. Give yourself a target that you have to get a job within 4 months. Dont just get any job (like BPO) whose work ex wont count. Consider this as your first step towards MBA. Plan and execute your Mission Job as it will be the building blocks to your Mission MBA. And you said companies look for EC,CS,IT. You must be talking about the software companies. You are a Mechanical Engineer...Value what you have and look out for some core companies. A good CV and a good job consultant can land you up in a decent company where you would gain valuable experience. And yes devote your weekends for MBA prep...
